Moved Reply: --------------------------------------------------------- Nebraska USA is hosting an elementary national dual championship in Fremont, Nebraska at Midland Lutheran College on April 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2009. Go to www.nebraskausawrestling.org for more info. If you have contacts in another state please let them know. I'm in the process of going on forums around the midwest letting them know. We have several states interested in coming and Nebraska hopes to field 3 teams of its own. Must qualify at the NE USA state tournament in Grand Island on March 15th, 2009. -------------------------------------------------------- (Information above provided by 525 from another thread)

Moved Reply: Is there a AAU tournament planned this year other than the Ironman? I believe they held it in Kearney or GI last year....usually it's the qualifier for Maine.

Moved Reply:
The ironman was held at the end of june last year. I believe the tournament you recall is USA state in Grand Island, cause there wasn't a qualifier for the Maine Exchange last year. They use to have an AAU State tournament at Kearney high school every year where they wrestled folkstyle and freestyle. Not many showed up for it, but it was supposed to be a qualifier for Maine. They obviously couldn't continue that cause of the poor turn out. I believe the Maine exchange has coaches that get a hold of kids and try and put 2 teams together. They do wrestle off for the 1 and 2 positions. Might get a hold of Losvelt from Madison...he would know what the procedure is for this year. good luck
