That's a unique marketing concept...
I think what he meant was that to watch was free to wrestle you have to pay $15

Will there be a program that I can buy so I can see what mat my sons on and how many kids are in his bracket and will there be someone selling trophy's so I can buy one in case he gets 1st?

I told you its free....free wall brackets and free annoucing of your son to which mat he is wrestling on each round. Free awards too.
Like other post season tournaments, I noticed that you have to be currently enrolled in high school in order to qualify for this tournament regardless of your age.
Why is that?
Many kids are as young as 16 or 17 when they graduate from high school.
I realize this isn't a NSAA Sanctioned event, but it clearly states in the by-laws that a student has 4 years or 8 semesters of competition at the high school level.
AND
By making the students be enrolled in a school makes a statement that first and foremost you must be a student. Can't be expelled from a school and still compete at this tournament.
Your age is based on how old you will be by Dec. 31. So I wouldn't think there are many seniors that will not be 18 by the end of this year. My son is in the same boat. He will be 17 when he graduates, but will be 18 within a month after. He's pretty young for his grade. Any younger than that would probably be considered gifted. I'm sure that is how the thinking is when tournaments are being set up by ages. This message has been edited. Last edited by: 525,
My son just completed his first year of college and will continue to be 18 for most of this summer. He hasn't wrestled since high school but would like the opportunity to compete this summer with kids his own age. Unfortunately, he is disqualified because he graduated from high school early. I really don't understand the logic of this rule.
