Skutt has won 103, 112, 119, 125 so far.

Though 145 skutt has 6 champions and one still pending. The only score I know is Farrell won 5-1 over the Wahoo wrestler who was undefeated, I think. So, they are a perfect 6 for 6 in the finals so far.

Gretna shut down in the final round, winning only 2 of 10 matches, so I think Gross probably leaped over them for runner up. Wheaton beat Hospodka, Sutton over Janovich, Bosley over Janovich, Prusha over Nelson, Shuett over Fall

Skutt is an absolute monster. What a machine! 7-7 in the finals? Qualifying 11 in such a tough district, 5 of them Freshman? An amazing performance by an amazing program that just keeps rolling along.

Obviously you're not. And that's fine. Hope the truth doesn't hurt too much. Hopefully you're able to be objective enough to admit that what they accomplished Sat was pretty impressive. And that what they do on a consistent basis year after year is really something.

You know everyone can talk just how good skutt is but its bullcrap... Yeah any school could be just as good or better if they had a recruting system like skutts.... I dont care if they have 14 freshman wrestling varsity... they would all have to be the 14 best freshman wrestling at each weight... In a way its kinda like cheating... i dunno why it is legal.. it should be fair, if one team can recrute then every other school should be able to.. sure there are other schools that recrute and all but not like skutt...so i don't care what anyone says

While it is true that Skutt does have more incoming talent every year than any other school in class B and perhaps the state, the coaching staff does do a good job maximizing their potential. I liken them to Notre Dame- every good wrestler wants to go there because they know that they will win a state championship. I do not agree with recruiting wrestlers, and it is obvious that they do, McKim from Valley, Wheaton from Tekamah, etc,. It is just going to take a special team doing it the old fashioned right way to upend them. Hopefully it happens this weekend. Go Cozad, Aurora, Gross, Gretna, and everyone else who could make a run. Good luck to the Skutt wrestlers too, they work hard all year for the same result. The problem is higher than the individual wrestlers.

It's amazing that all year long nobody has really been bashing Skutt about recruiting because nobody thought they would be this good. Now that they performed well @ districts it's starting up. Maybe you all need to look at this team for the whole year. Since Christmas this team had not had a their full varsity lineup and had at points 3 JV kids fill in (who did a great job and placed in the tournaments they were in) and they still won tournaments and duals. The coaches and kids put in so much time there and that is why JV kids can step up and perform. There are a lot of kids there who would be starters at other schools because of the training they got at Skutt. You can look at their team this year and see that they do not have any undefeated wrestlers and that they do not just depend on 1 or 2 to carry the team. This team is well rounded and have a lot of good wrestlers who all contribute.

I know that most of Skutt's wrestlers come through the KWAA program. I would also bet that most "very good" football players regardless of their address in Lincoln go to Lincoln Southeast. I'll bet there are plenty of South Sioux city girls that come to that high school because of the basketball program. Recruiting? Damn straight! I'm sure all these coaches, (including Skutt) meet and greet as many different parents and athletes as they possibly can. However, if the people out there think that these schools give tuition waivers, scholarships, incentives, etc. they are very wrong. A winning tradition, great coaching, and SOLID ACADEMICS, are the attractions to these schools.
I would hate to meet the parent that actually sent their son or daughter to an inferior high school education because they wanted them to get 3-5 more victories in athletic competition!

This will be an interesting state tournament. I hope everyone wrestles up to their potetial because in wrestling there is never a sure thing. The recruiting argument gets older and weaker each year.
