To those that know these two wrestlers, you might be interested in hearing this. Metcalf and Schlatter, the #1 and #2 wrestlers in the nation at 145 and possibly at any weight, wrestled at the 30th annual Medina Invitational. B. Metcalf, with several national titles from Fargo and 187-0 in high school, beat D. Schlatter 3-3 in double overtime. Schlatter was ranked #1, but came away with the loss. He also has many respectable titles to his name. Apparently the match was electric. I doubt there will be a match between such skilled high school competetors like this ever again. These two most likely will hit each other again at Senior Nationals. Just thought people might want to know.
