There was no way how Tillema really beat Trampe last year......trampe destroyed him at the Val invite last year...everyone knows that Chris Trampe really one it last year!!!!!!
And on another note, Chris Trampe did't win it last year, he came up short when it mattered the most, Tillema wrestled very good, got Trampe down early. Trampe wasnt ever able to get any momentum after falling behind. Tillema may have won on a "fluke" but that happens sometimes. Chris was a hell of a wreslter and certainly was the better wrestler, but he still didn't win that day.
watch for fillmore central's jeff grant in the medal rounds. 2-time qualifier, never showed his real potential at the state meet. hasn't been beaten yet this year, and i think he'll turn some heads.
robert daro from aquinas emerged as one of the best wrestlers at 112 last year in class c. he beat up on pokorney this year at bennington and he will face and beat pickett at their dual. If u all dont recall he faced an undefeated craig trampe in the state finals last year and took him down twice. i doubt that trampe has ever had that happen before. hes got what it takes to win it all this year
Rob Daro did beat Craig Pokorny at the Bennington Invitational but did not beat up Craig. The score was 6-4 with Craig nearly turning Daro 3 or 4 times in the third period. The match could have gone either way. I know Rob and his family and they are good people, I hope Rob goes down to 119 so I can cheer for him to win state (unless he runs into our 119 lber).
If you would just send that kid, or I should say those kids of yours to school where they are supposed to go (Aquinas) then Daro probably would go down. Did you ever get those pictures of Craig?
i would say that tillema is the front runner right now, but don't count out pickett, tillema beat pickett at valentine, but pickett had been battling the flu the week before. they will meet again, probably a couple times before the season is over. i think pickett has the potential to beat him, no question.
