Guillermo V. “Billy” Alvarado died Friday, December 31, 2004 at Regional West Medical Center at the age of 37.

Billy was born April 13, 1967 in Alliance to Mike and Rita (Gonzalez) Alvarado.

On September 23, 1994 he was united in marriage to Sherri West.

He was a track foreman for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad at the time of his death. Billy was a member of the Alliance Berean Church and coached for the Community Education Sports. In high school he was active in football, baseball was a state champion in wrestling. He also had served in the U.S. Army.

His survivors include his wife Sherri, daughters Ashley Jacquot of Colorado Springs, CO, Haley, Karley and Billi Alvarado of the home, parents Mike and Rita Alvarado of Alliance, brother Mike Alvarado Jr., of Alliance, sisters Jerri and husband Casey Brost of Hemingford, and Patty and husband Daryl Colwell of Alliance, his children’s maternal grandparents, Ron and Dawn West of Alliance and Sally Yeager of Fondulac, WI.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alliance Berean Church with Pastor Dave Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

The family would prefer memorials be sent in lieu of flowers in care of the family at 920 Niobrara Avenue, Alliance, NE 69301.
