More in depth Obituary here.

Attended the Funeral this afternoon and spoke with Ted, Dru and Dev, they are doing as well as can be expected.

In case anyone was interested, one of the suggestions for Memorials was to the Ord Wrestling Club. The address of the Funeral Home in charge of services is:

Ord Memorial Chapel
PO Box 230
Ord, NE 68862

Just make sure Ted, Dru and Dev stay in your prayers for a while if you would.

Thanks.

On behalf of my family,

Thank you everyone for all the kind words regarding the passing of my mother. Dev, dad(TK), and I all miss her deeply.

My mom, Judy Kastler, went through the joy of victory and pain of defeat for every competitive wrestling match that my brother and I ever wrestled.

She and dad traveled all over and while many got to know my dad, Devon and I, not as many met her. She was the perfect wrestling mom. Happy in victory, compassionate in defeat. She always had a healthy dinner during season for us(even if that meant dad had to eat healthy too). She filmed our matches... throughout the years her filming skills went from ugly, to bad, to okay, to good, to great. Even in the most tense of times she managed to film what even the student managers couldn't(even an injury or two). She didn't do these things because she had to, she did them because she wanted to and because she loved to.

We have a wonderful picture of our family in a frame after Devon won state as a senior. It was a great time for our family and we all had tears of joy in our eyes. Now we have been faced with tears of sadness and feelings of remorse. However, the great memories such as the state titles, the many happy times that we all shared, and the help and stories from others have made this a time to look back on our lives as well as moms and realize what a joy it truly was.

Thank you again everyone.

Sincerely,

Dru Kastler and Family

Dru,

What a great tribute to your mother. I never got to meet her but your words make me feel like I know her. May you and your family always cherish those great memories and may perpetual light shine upon her.

Dru...awesome tribute to your mom. Remember all the good times you had...and make sure your dad eats healthy. It'll help his golf game... Big Grin
