Well since no one is taking Laughlin at 112, then I will. I watched Ferdig wrestle at Blair and I coached Laughlin on 2 national dual teams last year. He doesn't wrestle like a freshman. Anyway, maybe I shouldn't have picked him and left him the underdog...I guess he is still the underdog since he'll be a 3 or 4 seed. Just my opinion.

I am back, hold the applause. I just got back from my honeymoon with Jessica Alba. BOy this shouldbe some great wrestling. This tourney is definitely one of the best Class B tourneys in Southeast NE (Plattsmouth tourney also tough). Anybody know if the finals will be on webcast?
103 - Bridgeford over Negley: I would watch out for Groff-AUB. Heis tough and I think that he would destroy Negley. Even if Ferdig is here, I think that Groff stands a good chance of winning. 112 - Milke over Laughlin: Laughlin is a tough matchup for Milke here(styles). Ferdig did beat Milke and those 2 might be 2-3 seeds. TOugh weight. 119 - It's a Pick'Em!: Watch for Negley to be herre. LC is famous for going down a weight before Christmas. 125 - Negley over Mertes: If Negley is gone then Mertes is the class of this weight. If not this will be a classiv weight calss. Peppe is very tough also. 130 - Allen over ?: No arguments 135 - Bashus over Kimball: Bashus is definitely the class of the weight. But I think that Parrish makes the finals instead of Kimball. 140 - Koch over ? (where he belongs at 140): I would say Koch over Lane 145 - Reehl over Meredith: Another wide open weight and I expect Ryan Allgood to be jsut as much of a favorite as these two. 152 - Randall over Kenning: No arguements, battle will be for second 160 - Crouch over Dorn: Crouch is teh class of this field with Dorn still recovering from injury. 171 - Michel over Zech: definitely the two best wrestlers in this class. 189 - Mack over ? 215 - Browne over Coatney: another Browne-Coateny match with teh same reseult as the first 20 some 275 - Bergland over Henry: Bergland pins Henry, unless it gets into the late 3rd period. |

Brian Zech will have to sit out the Auburn Invite due to a shoulder injury at practice on
Wednesday. And if it comes back that he tore his rotator cuff, then his senior year ended to early. Let's just hope for the best and that he will be back after christmas break. |

I wore her out, she needed a break. That is too bad to here about Zech. He is a quality werstler and a really good kid. He had a chance to be on the platform this here, hopefully he still does.

The Genie
little inside at 112. If Ferdig is at 112 here are the seeds #1 seed Ferdig (State placer last year and Beat Milke #2 seed Milke how he did last year at Auburn and SQ #3 seed Laughlin the thing that hurts him is he is a freshmen. And if Ferdig is at 103 seed goes as #1 seed Ferdig 2,3, or 4th seed Negley 2,3, or 4th seed Brideford 2,3, or 4th seed Groff Vegas Kid when is the coaching meeting? |

112- I thought it was the other Laughlin. What weight is he at? How about Stone, he is a state qualifier last year? 103- How does Negley get seeded over Groff? Groff placed last year and has 1 loss this year.
103- Ferdig #1 Groff #2 Brideford #3 Negley #4 |

Let's see how I did... 103 - Got Bridgeford right here! 112 - Had the right participants, wrong outcome 119 - Results say it all... toss up in a weak weight here 125 - Had the right participants, wrong outcome... again... 130 - Got Allen right, opponent was ? 135 - Nailed this one... even though someone posted Kimball wouldn't be here, I did 140 - Got Koch right, opponent was ? 145 - I had Reehl here! Although I had an opponent from a wrong tournament... not too bad 152 - I nailed this one! 160 - I had Crouch, didn't know Dorn was moving up to 171... does anyone know why the shift in Auburn's weights? 171 - I had Michel 189 - Got Mack right, opponent was ? 215 - Another one I nailed! 275 - Had the right participants, wrong outcome Heck, I don't think I did too bad for the first time with predicting each and every weight of a tournament!!! Now, if only my football picks were this good... I'd have a bit more coin in my pocket! With Zech's problem...
Dorn moved up, Cole moved up, and Ketter came up from J.V. |

Let's Grapple,
Thanks, Justin wrestled really well against Tommy and they should see each other a couple more times this season. Could go either way. Listen to Q match with Franklin sound like a good one. We could possible get another shot at him in Clarks. Merry Christmas to you and your family and keep your head down. |
