from csc website: These 18 wrestlers were named outstanding wrestlers by their teams during the CSC wrestling team camp on Wednesday. CHADRON – Over 300 high school wrestlers from six states attended the Chadron State College wrestling team camp that was Sunday, June 15 to Wednesday, June 18 on the CSC campus. Chadron State head coach Scott Ritzen, who was also the camp director, said the talent level and intensity of the camp was high. “A lot of really good kids wrestled here and they were able to learn some things that will make them more successful as they prepare for the high school season,” he said. The over 300 wrestlers from Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, California and Montana were divided into 18 teams and competed with others in a dual tournament format. Outstanding wrestlers from each team were named after being voted on by coaches and wrestlers. The outstanding wrestlers from Nebraska are Caleb Franklin of Oakland-Craig High School, Marcus J. Nelson of Valentine Rural, Wil Brown of Chadron, Sawyer Ritz of Central City, Danny Ibarra of Lexington, Jeff Green of West Point Central Catholic, Conrad Hueftle of Broken Bow and Blake Augustyn of Ord. The Wyoming MVPs were Bronson Mitchell of Natrona, Ronald Fickbohm of Newell, Josh Pounds of Thermopolis, Trevor Donarski of Powell. Jayd Docken of Winner and Philip Rickenbach of Hot Springs were the MVPs from South Dakota. Layne Crumley of Akron and Cody Kloberdanz of Sterling were the outstanding wrestlers from Colorado, and Shawn Porter and Jasen Henderson of Elk Grove were the MVPs from California. |

Chadron State and Coach Ritzen do a great job with this camp. One of the best wrestling camp in the state both for price "$150 per wrestler along with 2 coaches who get to go for free" and for competition/technique. I would recommend this camp to anyone out there.

Was this a 3 day camp and does anyone know what the dates were for this? Just wondering if it might be something I would want to try to get wrestlers to go to next year.

it starts sunday afternoon and ends Wednesday at noon. You get lots of matches for your kids and some technique. This year the camp ran from June 15th to the 18th

I would take ur kids here for mat time and the ability to see different styles not only do the neighboring states to western nebraska come but usually Elk Grove Cali comes as well so it is pretty diverse. Not to tell another man his business but I would also look at getting into the outdoor camps near valentine i have heard nothing but great things about it
