Everyone,

I have created a list of varsity tournaments in Missouri that have openings for next season. I have a few tournaments in Northern Missouri, and the rest of the state looking for new competition. I invite you to send me a message if you would like to see if there is a tournament that interests you. The list has 43 tournaments to choose from. Ranging from Kansas City to St. Louis and beyond. I have many Christmas Mega tournaments that would like to invite any team that are interested.

Any Nebraska school that hosts a tournament, and would like to be added to the list. Please send me a message too. I have tournaments from Louisiana and Kansas on the list as well.

Thank you for your time.

This is for an Arkansas tournament.

Springdale Har-Ber, Arkansas is looking for teams for the Wildcat Holiday Dual tournament on December 21/22, 2011. Limited to the first 16 teams. Four pools of four teams.

Teams committed as of 4/15/11
Springdale Har-Ber
Springdale
Fort Smith Southside
Little Rock Central
Little Rock Catholic
Conway (2011 State Champs)
McDonald County, MO
Tulsa Memorial, OK
Tahlequah Sequoyah, OK

4 pools of 4 teams
Wednesday, December 21st:
7:30 – 9:30 - Weigh-in by team
9:30 – Coaches meeting.
10:00 – Wrestling starts.

Each team will wrestle 3 duals on Wednesday. We will decide who wrestles who by a draw in the coaches meeting.
The scores from all three duals on Wednesday will be added together and will determine your placement (seed) for the two bracket tournaments on Thursday.
Teams will be placed into two bracket tournaments. Teams 1 through 8 will be in the “Blue” bracket and teams 9 through 16 will be in the “Navy” bracket.

Thursday, December 22nd:
Weigh-ins: 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Additional pound (i.e. 103 is now 104).
Wrestling will begin sharply at 9:00 a.m. with Round 1 and will conclude with the Finals and Consolation Finals in both brackets by 6:00 p.m.
Awards:
Trophies will be given to the top 3 teams in the “Light Blue” the “Navy” bracket. 14 medals will be given to the top three teams in the “Light Blue” bracket and only the top team in the “Navy” bracket. If more than 14 wrestlers wrestle for a team during the tournament, then that coach will decide who among his team will receive the medals. All awards will be given at the conclusion of the tournament.

Points of interest:
1. Entry Fee is $200, due at the time of the Coaches Meeting. This fee will cover the cost of awards and officials.

2. A drawing in the coaches meeting will determine who and when duals will occur Friday night.

3. 48 dual meets will be wrestled in two days on four mats, 24 duals on Wednesday and 24 on Thursday. All four mats will be used throughout the tournament with 1st and 3rd place duals in both tournaments starting at 4:30 on Thursday.

4. Each dual is to last one-and-half hours. It is important that line-ups are turned in to the scorer’s table promptly before each dual if the time table is to be kept.

5. Teams are encouraged to bring extra wrestlers and substitute in and out of their line-ups as they wish.

6. If a wrestler fails to make the same weight class on Saturday as he did on Friday, there is no penalty other than that wrestler must now wrestle at the new weight or one weight class above. Other tournaments would have disqualified that particular wrestler from further competition.
7. If a team does not have a full line-up, an “extra” wrestler from another team may fill that spot and wrestle after forfeit points are awarded to the correct team.

8. A drawing in the coaches meeting will be used if more than one team has an “extra” wrestler wishing to fill the same spot in the line-up on another team.

9. If a team has an “extra” wrestler being used on another team, he may be withdrawn at any time to be used in his own team’s line-up without question.

10. In the event of a tie, the NFHS rulebook will be used to determine the tie-breaker of all dual meets wrestled.

11. Tournament t-shirts and concessions will be available.

12. Host Hotel: Coming Soon!

The list of tournaments with openings that I created has 55 tournaments from seven different states.

The list has mostly Missouri tournaments but I am trying to get as many tournaments as I possible can.

If you host a tournament or are looking for a tournament please send an email to me at cbfrommo@yahoo.com

The list is free. I do this because I love the sport. I already have two Nebraska tournaments on the list. Other states are Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, and Oklahoma.
