Robert Klein, former Pender wrestler, has been in Iraq for around 8 or 9 months now. Not for sure when he gets to come home. Robert serves for the Army Reserves out of Souix City.

Ever hear of the coach that couldn't coach his wrestler out of a wet paper bag; I was coaching the wet paper bag.

Jerry Thomas, 3X State Champion from Kearney is serving his second tour in Iraq.

He is also headed back to the States for his Father's funeral some time next week. He lost his Mother in a car accident last winter so it's been a tough year for him. Please keep Jerry and all of our Service Men and Women in your prayers.

Hands down! This is the best thread ever posted on this website.

It should be moved to the regular board so more people read and respond.

Hats off to all the servicemen. Especially the wrestlers. You can always feel comfortable when a wrestler has your back.

As a soldier over here in Iraq I appreciate the support of huskermat and the wrestling fans on this post. I have been over here in Iraq since last February with the South Dakota National Guard destroying and blowing up roadside bombs, huge weapon caches and doing night raids in Southwest Baghdad region, Karbala, Fulujaha and now Najaf.
It was nice to see all the former Nebraska high school wrestlers names that are over here. I wanted to tell them thanks too, its a great honor to serve and I hope everyone returns safely!
