By now, I'm sure most of you have taken the time to look through the results and at the bracket formulas to see who might possibly match up with who first round. Being as the true brackets don't come out until Monday night, can anyone speculate on some POTENTIAL interesting first round matchups?
One I saw was at 112-C where Jose Hernandez from Gibbon might possibly meet Aaron Karpisek or Brandon Gaines in the first round. |

Okay...duh on me...Hernandez can't wrestle Karpisek first round, but hopefully you guys understand where I'm going with this thread.

125lb Chrisinger Cozad would be a tough match for any #1 seed, since he had to get 4th after Palomo accidentally pinned himself first round

Depending if jeff puls even wrestles because of his knee injury getting 4th means he could have to wrestle coufal

Anyone know how bad Puls' knee injury is? And did he actually hurt it against Dickes or was it earlier?

Heard puls hadnt practiced all week so i'm betting it was hurting him all districts

Our 189 pounder (Kempkes - HTRS) has the dubious honor of either wrestling #1 Schwedhelm (Winside), #2 Axtell (Axtell) or #5 American Horse (Rushville). How bout that info to tell a kid, makin his 1st State qualification? No fear and nothin to lose....

With Mixan from Gross getting fourth, he puts a a district champ with an early very tough match. Either Mazulla Auburn, Acsherl O'Neill, or Ramirex Gering

What about some good quarterfinals. D-125 could see Rucker and Hunter match up. B-171 could see Dolezal and Kalvelage. What are some others????

Ramirez would handle Mixan-the Gering kid's only loss was 4-2 to the defending Colorado state champ. Mixan can definitely wrestle with the other 2 guys though.

puls didn't wrestle his last match because his knee was hurting him to bad. He was gonna let it heal for state.
