First and foremost I would like to apologize to all of my coaches at Nebraska, especially coach Manning. He has gone far and beyond the duties as a head coach to help me not only succeed as a student athlete but to grow into a responsible adult. Also I would like to apologize to the University of Nebraska for the embarrassment that I have brought to the university, faculty, and staff, who have all been supportive to me. Then I would like to apologize to the wrestling community for the great shame that I have brought to the wrestling world. Finally I would like to apologize to my entire family and friends who have done nothing but support me. Regretfully, Kenny Jordan

I just got off the phone with Kenny Jordan and his Dad. Kenny and my son were h.s. teammates (Chicago Mt. Carmel)and captains together and have been friends for over 10 years. We talked for over 30 minutes. I was asked by the family to confirm and post these additional comments.

The first post in this thread WAS POSTED BY KENNY.

He wants everyone to know that he is very, very sorry for the hurt that he has caused the wrestling community and the University of Nebraska. Kenny felt he was duped. He also wants me to pass on that HE IS NOT GAY. He was told that his face would not be seen and that his idenity would not be exposed. He was made to believe that this was going to be on a site for girls only. He can't go into a lot of detail about the hows and whys right now for obvious (NCAA) reasons.


His father has indicated that Kenny is very, very depressed at this time but as a family they are helping him get through this. He indicated that Kenny sometimes makes mistakes when it comes time to make certain decisions and this is one of those times. He will get his son any professional help he needs.

Kenny plans to wrestle this season. Several schools have already been in contact with him and a decision will be made early next week.

His father does not want Kenny to do a lot of dialog on the subject other than the apology that he has written and what he asked me to post here.

Kenny also said that he wants to apologize to Coach Manning and that coach was very supportive and he realizes that the punishment fit the act. Kenny has been in touch with both his h.s. and college teammates and that they as well have been supportive.

Finally the Jordan family wants to thank those that have offered their support and assure everyone that Kenny is very sorry.

While I belive that Kenny is truly sorry for what he did (and especially for getting caught). I'm of the opinion that these two knew what they were doing was morally wrong, against NCAA rules, and beyond anyones standard of good taste and they went ahead and did it anyway. So I'm having a tough time feeling sorry for either of them.

Oh, and don't give me the I was duped excuse. A site for boys or a site for girls whats the difference it's still wrong. He voluntarially got naked, let some guy take lewd pictures of him with a smile on his face, knew the pictures were going on the net for profit, took money in exchange for services rendered. That doesn't sound like a guy who was duped.

I agree with you Angrybilly,I feel very bad for both boys parents and freinds, but little compassion for the boys.They are now finding out that there are conseguences for their poor judgement.

I hear you. Just passing on what was said to me.

Sounds like somebody trying to cover his butt (no pun intended).
