Once again, Nebraska USA will be taking 2 teams to Danville Il. to compete the USA National Middle School duals.

Great looking new gear that will be posted on this thread very soon. We are taking a charter bus again this year.

Remember, you must compete at the NE USA state tournament to qualify for these teams. That state tournament is on March 20th in Grand Island. The Danville trip is on March 26th, 27th and 28th.

This trip is always one that kids never forget. Nebraska USA has been putting these national dual teams together for 8 years. For past team members go to www.nebraskausawrestling.org and go to the kids division. It will surprise you to see all the past dual team members and how well they went on to compete in High School.

Any questions please contact me.

The gear looks nice but let 3XGear know that they need to get rid off the cheap a$$ zippers that they have on their jackets. Mine was screwed up the first time I zipped it up and everyone else I talked to said their zipper on their jacket was jacked up. The gear should be something that theses kids will be able to wear for a long long time.

Yep...if you take a good look at flier, these jackets are better quality this year. Last year was the first time for jackets...tried to keep cost down and sometimes you don't know what you're going to get for the price. Everything should be great for this year.

MUST a wrestler go to the districts assigned to their club? For instance, Hamilton County can go to Seward for Districts, but Merrick County goes to O'Neill. I have several in our club that live in Hamilton County (Seward districts), but CC is in Merrick (O'Neill districts). Seward is much closer than O'Neill and the weekend is more convenient.

"New this year, district qualifying tournaments to the USA State Folkstyle Tournament. You must finish in the top 4 in your district (top 6 for District 8 only) to attend the USA State Tournament.

This is the first step in the qualification process for the Elementary National Dual and Middle School National Dual teams. The only place you can qualify for these very popular Nebraska national teams is at the USA State Tournament.

Wrestlers must reside in Nebraska and may only attend the district in which their club is eligible. To determine which district a club is eligible for use the address of the club to determine its county. Then locate the county in the list below. If you do not belong to a club in Nebraska but your residence is in Nebraska, use the county of your residence to determine which district you should attend."

It would be real convenient if Central City would flip flop there age groups so the older boys can wrestle the Huskerland duals then go to your tournament in the afternoon and the little guys wrestle your tournament in the a.m. then wrestle duals in the afternoon.

Everything is set in order....Gear is ordered, charter bus rented, Hotels done (Hampton Inn and suites just like last year)

Now all we have to do is wrestle USA State on March 20th to see who makes the team. It's gonna be some much nicer knowing that after saturday the team is set, then we can do duals on Sunday without having to worry about beating the same kid twice to make the dual team. Good luck guys.

To qualify for this team you must be in Grand Island on march 19th and 20th for USA State. We will have 2 teams again this year just like we always do. We are still going to Danville.

Don't forget to bring movies for Charter Bus...No "R" rated... Smile

Just wanted to add the little surprise that I've been talking about.

Jason Powell, UNL Division I National Champion and Asst. UNL wrestling coach will be conducting practice on Thursday evening March 25th, at Omaha Skutt and then traveling with the Nebraska USA National teams on the Charter bus to Danville. He will be the Head coach for the weekend.

Going to be a great trip....Good luck guys at state...wrestle hard.
