12 home duals, the Big 12 Championships and a bunch of tough non-conference teams, UTC, Kent St., Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, Penn, Central Michigan, WOW! Include the national duals and this has to be one of the toughest schedules outside of belonging to the Big Ten. Okie St. and Iowa St. in conference at home this year, could be a magical year for the Big Red! |

What happened to Mike Rowe? He had 2 years of eligibility left.

Word has it that Rowe got kicked off of the team. There's alot of people at 141, any guesses as to who the front runner may be?

They have Jordan listed at 133 on the roster. I wonder if Vacanti is ready/healthy to challenge at 133?

Heard that Jordan cant make the weight anymore at 133 so he will be moving up. |

Jordan failed to make weight at the NCAA's and it has to be a very tough cut for him. I see him going to 141 since Rowe is gone. I also hear Burroughs may end up at 157. This is purely speculation. Here is how the line-up may look -
125 Donahoe 133 Vacanti 141 Jordan 149 Hacker 157 Burroughs 165 Dwyer 174 Browne 184 Jones 197 Brester HWT Lane If Jordan and Burroughs do not move up weights - 125 Donahoe 133 Jordan 141 Burns (RS?)or Salazar 149 Burroughs 157 Oliver 165 Dwyer 174 Browne 184 Jones 197 Brester HWT Lane |

I heard speculation of same about Jordan, Burroughs and Oliver. What about Alaksanyan @ 133? Didn't he move up because of Jordan at 133? Seeing Burroughs wrestling Fila at 145.5 makes you wonder about him moving up to 157. Not much depth at 149 or 157 if Burroughs and Oliver both moving up. Davaugh Perkins and/or Esai Dominguez would've been a good fit in that weight range for NU.

I do not see Oliver beating Dwyer at 165lbs. But Burroughs may go 149. I agree with him going 145.5 for FILA to go up to 157 is a big jump. Of course with Metcalf at 149, 157 may be a better weight for Burroughs. I think Vacanti can beat Aleksayan. He is also listed at 141 on the roster on the web but that does't mean much. We'll see where everyone is at come wrestle-offs in November. NU should be right there again this year.

Good chance that Metcalf moving to 157 to make room for Tsirtsis, Burroughs would be the man to beat at 149 if so. Oliver would definitely be more comfortable at 165 from what I've heard, would be a tough fight between him and Dwyer.(See Chad Mendez moving up two weight classes)I don't know where Aleksanyan's weight is but Vacanti has to be a front runner if Jordan going to 141. Only 15 weeks and 4 days to wrestle-offs!

Kenny J is moving up, but after last year at NCAAs,I dont put much confidence in him.Has constant academic issues as well (needs a babysitter). Burroughs will be at 149 again, and I would not be surprised if Oliver didn't even wrestle this year.Lot's of challengers at 157, so hopefully we will be OK with or without Chris. I'm looking forward to seeing a healthy Vacanti, and also Tucker Lane is the real deal, and should be ready to challenge for AA status.
I highly doubt Metcalf is going anywhere, so Burroughs will just have to find a way to beat him. |
