Camp time is coming up very quickly! Part of growing in our sport, is enjoying the process of hard work and dedication. Camp is a time when our wrestlers get to train in a fun environment while improving their skills as wrestlers. We researched several camp options and decided this year to invite 40 dedicated wrestlers to a private camp here at Norris High School.

We will host the Foundation Wrestling Camp by Nick Purler. We are committed to helping your wrestler grow in a sport that teaches them about commitment, hard work, discipline, and great personal reward.

We know that money can become an issue when trying to pay for out of area camps, so we created a local camp that is affordable. Most camps have 200-400 wrestlers, there is very limited hands-on training and they cost $400-$600 plus traveling and meals.

Foundation Wrestling provides us with the opportunity to keep a smaller setting and a hands-on approach to training. Camp cost is only $150 for 2 full days of training. Every wrestler will receive their own set of DVD’s of the camp instruction (approx cost $109.99) & their own t-shirt.

If interested in participating in this clinic please send Coach Wiens an email with wrestler’s age and weight. We will only be able to accept 40 wrestlers that are at least 8 years old through 12th grade. NWC coaches will review all registrations and attempt to insure that each wrestler has a comparable drilling partner. Due to age & weight differences we may not be able to ensure a partner. We will contact each of you on whether we were able to match your wrestler and provide you with additional registration information.

***Please keep in mind this camp will be very intensive. The kids will be drilling from 8 am - 4:30 pm in the afternoon. It may not be suitable for some kids. If you would like to know more, please feel free to contact me.****

Have several open spots still. I would like to match kids so each have a common opponent to drill with. I will be taking pre-registrations through the month.

Wondering if there are any open spots left? I'm interested in bringing a 75 lb 12 year-old, and maybe a partner? Due to lack of interest in this camp, less than 20 registrants, we will unforuntately not be holding this camp.

I am currently looking at rescheduling this. Maybe some one can help me with the High School rules. If the camp was held between the end of the football season and beginning of the wrestling season, it would then be open for all High School wrestlers as well.

Right now the plan is to have the camp at the end of October or first part of November. Hopefully we will be able to open this to all ages.

Quick update on this camp.

We have reviewed the NSAA rules and have rescheduled this clinic.

We will be hosting this event on Nov 6-7th.

With this in mind it will open up the age group significantly, including High School wrestlers, and place it right before the beginning of Winter sports.

I will update later if we have openings for the camp outside of Norris Wrestlers.

We are now currently accepting registrations for our Purler Wrestling Academy.

The dates for the camp again are Nov 6-7th. This is available for all wrestlers 8 years old through 12th grade, with at least two years of experience.

The camp is placed the week prior to Winter sports practice. No better way to kick off the season!

Not only will you get top notch one on one instruction but you will receive a DVD set valued at $109.99 and camp t-shirt.

I would like to have all registrations by October 14th.
