Billy Alvarado, 1985 126lb. State Champion wrestler from Alliance has recently been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Billy is married with 4 children. Billy was a great wrestler with terrific character. There will be a silent auction, spaghetti feed, and hog raffle on Sunday, December 19th at the American Legion Club in Alliance. The spaghetti feed is from 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. and the cost is $5.00 per person, or $25 per family. The silent auction is from 11:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. There is also a hog raffle...tickets are $5.00 each and there will be 2 winners of a half hog each. I invite anyone near Alliance to go to the spaghetti feed and silent auction. For those of you too far away to attend, but would like to contribute through the hog raffle or any other means, you can send your donations to me and I will pass them on to Billy and his family. If you want raffle tickets, please enclose a SASE(self-addressed-stamped-envelope)and I will send them to you. I can also make you out a receipt for tax purposes. I myself will be out of town that day, but can get your tickets no later than that Saturday. Here's my address:

Crap...I have no sense of time or what day it is...it's this Sunday that I'll be out of town. I will be here on Sunday, Dec. 19th. Whew! I must need a vacation. Anyway, I will be attending with my wife and son and will be happy to get raffle tickets for you or deliver your donations. I think it would be neat if I could show up there Sunday and present them with a large order for raffle tickets or cash donations and let them know it comes from a joint effort from our large wrestling family. With this event taking place this Sunday, I thought I would bump this back up to the top so you guys could use the link to see how much has already been donated.
