i agree that norfolk catholic is a very good team, but like it was said earlier, they just dont have the big guns to get them the big points in the latter rounds. aquinas definately will have the big guns, it comes down to whether or not they can get some help from the little guns. right now they have quite a few kids who, when wrestling well, look like they could place at state. i guess it all comes down to who performs the best under the lights!!!

Here's my take on this tournament.

Norfolk Catholic proved Saturday what I said from day one, State Champions.

Meister and Mixan match was incredible.

Thayer Central has three stud that I think will be in the finals at state and will more than likely give them enough points for a State Runner-Up trophy.

And my ears are still ringing from coach Horacek's trademarked whistle. Wink

Hey Tim, that's all you have on this tourney ?
Usually you have a run down on the matches, what is going on with Stanton ? What is your take of McCart?

I won't have time for a big run down until tomarrow or Wednesday, school started back up this week and I don't have the time quite yet. My take on McCart is posted on the McCart post and I already know people aren't going to agree with me because there is nothing that people like more than to crush hopes of young athletes by bashing on them. They are not in his shoes and no nothing about the guy except what they see on the mat. Leave the kid alone and let the proper people take care of it. I have never bashed anyone on here for their actions on the mat. People make the wrong decisions sometimes and pay their dues but no one can seem to let it go. That shows no maturity by the people that keep bashing him. He knows it wasn't the best thing he ever did, you don't have to keep reminding him. These are kids, you are adults, act like an adult and kids will be more respectful to you. I'm tired of the adults telling the kids what to do when the adults don't follow their own advise. Grow up. End of story on the McCart situation.

blue devil, Nate Novotny, Gross pinned Kenny Points, Ft. Calhoun and Trevor Battershaw, Norfolk Catholic pinned Zach Skrdla, Aquinas. Novotny ended up winning over Battershaw.
