Had a terribly weak weak district to salivate and gnaw on. Won his three matches in a combined :46 (:07, :29 -- his longest match, and :10). Should ravage his way to a State title.

Pain is temporary, pride is forever.

Michael Bayer has pinned all of his opponents except one. He has not pinned Puls of Norfolk Catholic either time he wrestled him. He is 32-0 with 28 falls, 2 decisions, and 2 forfiets in duals. Won his 100th match at Districts as did Brad Zurek of Sargent, both juniors.

seems to me that M. Maldonado had a real tough match against the Brown kid from Alliance and caught him in a neck wrench towards the end of the match. It also seems that he was behind in the finals and getting road pretty hard in the finals before he threw a headlock to get ta cheap pin.

He may have been behind but I did say defensive pinner . Maldonado has made this his trade mark set them up and boom headlock , let them shoot in and boom cross face throw , let them shoot in and boom neck wrench , let them shoot in and boom head roll to a chaunce . I do beleive he was the district champ and may do the same at state ...... boom !

Pinned through round 1 and 2 and was to meet Trevor Shulters in the championship. Unfortunately Shulters had to injury default because he re-aggravated his knee injury. I'm sure I am one of many who wish him the best and hope he makes to the mat in Lincoln.
