Tough loss for Vering. He had two close guts out of bounds that he didn't get points for.

Yeah. What's up with that?
The announcers said that they can continue out of bounds. Heck, in the old days, they would have let him do it again from where he was. I thought the 1st one in the 1st period might not be, but the 2nd for sure. |

If the move was started in bounds it can be continued out of bounds and scored. They would then come back to the middle on their feet. If the bottom wrestlers upper torso is out of bounds (the pinning area) or the head touches the mat out of bounds the match is stopped, no one scores, and they are brought back to the middle on their feet. |

How about Rowlands' whizzer of Mocco to win the match???
That was some great stuff. There were a lot of other great matches on tonights broadcast also. Hope you all got to see it. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Red Rocker, ----------------- "A PEOPLE THAT VALUES ITS PRIVILEGES OVER ITS PRINCIPLES, SOON LOSES BOTH" EISENHOWER |

Did you all see Sesker in the background working on his computer when they were talking about the women's team? He should have given a shout out to Huskermat

I'm surprised you could see me behind Rulon. LOL.
I've heard a few Nebraska people are coming to the Olympic Trials on June 13-15 in Las Vegas. There will be plenty of Nebraska flavor again with Vering, Ruiz, Tolly, Sigman and Dlagnev all expected to be in the mix. Les is out here in the Springs training right now. B.J. Padden was fifth at US Nationals and trains out here in Colorado. If you're not doing anything that weekend, come on out for the Trials. Flights and hotels are pretty reasonable, and it's in Vegas. I covered the 2000 and 2004 Trials for the OWH, and it is a great event. |
