130 is insane! Wonder how our 4 timer (Tyler Sackett) will stack up against the other four timers...
At 112, I think Zach Adams will do some damage. Even though he went to a rival school I have to give him his props. The kid has a motor that doesn't quit. There were a handful of kids that were almost as good or as good as him his So. and Jr. years. He had some close matches but never stopped working and that was the difference. I think he AA's for sure. Looks like "Q" has a very tough bracket as well. Quite a few four time finalists and three time state champs in his bracket. Chavez could do some damage. Might be tough to AA though. Although, he did wrestle for Skutt so maybe he has the X-factor and sneaks in. Phipps at 160 should be interesting. Noone really challenged him this year. Now let's see how he does against the nations best. I don't see Allen AAing at this weight but hope he proves me wrong! Cooksley is a beast. But all of the other Heavy's at nationals will be beasts too. Don't know if he has the stamina to wear these other heavies down. Hopefully he can use his freakish strength and win a couple of matches. |

This tourney is really missing a lot of the big names. Since it has moved locations, it seems to be losing some of its luster. Some of these brackets used to have 60 plus wrestlers.
