No, RODRIGUEZ did not challenge for dual team.

I don't think the late start was that bad, thats understandable things happen. However, when u knew things were going that way, u should of made some adjustments. After thinking about the tourney, suggestions could of been not having pre-2 run on a full mat. Possibly could of done it n 3-4 also.Cut it in half 2 get them done so brackets could b moved n for 3-6th grade, go down to minute periods instead of 1 1/2. I understand 1 1/2 for 5-6 bcuz of those trying out on the dual team but there was no reason 4 3-4 to run 1 1/2. The worst thing 4 us is our son didn't wrestle his first match til almost 4, was tired n crabby, took a nap n the stands and wanted 2 go home. From being there from 7:15 and not wrestling till 4 was LONG day. This also happened w/ some of our high school except it was almost 5 b4 the 1st match. Maybe go to Sat. night weigh ins(I think alot r already there just to let the kids spend the nite n have fun) n I still think Pre-4 don't need full mats. U can't have 12 brackets running 1 1/2 min on 1 mat, the first couple rounds takes 4ever or flip the tourney and dual tournament nights. I don't know how long the dual tourney goes but even if the tourney runs late its a sat. nite and no 1 cares. Also, I realize that there were alot of 7-8 trying 2 make the dual team but I think u should of left the high school in the old gym bcuz they r experienced and I know of several coaches not getting to coach some of their 6 graders b cuz they were waitin 4 the 7th graders 2 wrestle and its wasn't like it was a short hop or skip from gym to gym. Keep Pre-8th n 1 gym and hs in the old. Maybe also put that 6th mat in so there arn't so many brackets at 1 table. Just suggestions. There is very good competition there n I'd hate 2 c ppl not come bcuz of this but I know next year we'll probably only bring kids that r trying out 4 the dual team 2 c what improvements have been made and c how much smoother it will run and then the next year bring the high school and little ones back. The worst thing was the big kids were almost worse than the little ones waiting!!
