The old bird is 57 today...

Rocker...did you hear that there is some serious dissension between the Red Rocker and EVH? I read somewhere that EVH fired all of Hagar's roadies and Sammy is making noises that he is done with VH after the tour and that there will not be a new VH CD because of the rift.

If I can remember where I read it, I'll post it here.

Hot off the rumor mill - Our sources have learned that since VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen fired all of vocalist SAMMY HAGAR's road crew, tension in the band has been at an all time high. In fact, it's been described that Eddie and Sammy "Hate" each other and apparently Sammy has already threatened to bail on the tour numerous times. Sammy is also planning a quick "eight shows in 10 days" jaunt opening for TED NUGENT just before Christmas this year. Hagar is also in the 'talking' stages of doing a full blown spring/summer tour as Nugent's opening act. Our source was told that "this is it for VH with Sammy. There will be no other tours or new album."

Late...Don't know if you've seen DLR perform of late, but the guy is a very dim shadow of his former self. About the only thing he still has going for him is the fact that he can shovel the BS better than anybody.

Hagar still rocks, even at age 57. It's just too bad EVH's ego is getting in the way here. Judging from the first VH/Hagar breakup, it's plainly obvious that Sammy is the glue that kept VH together after DLR's heave-ho.

Wouldn't be suprised if Sammy and Eddie are feudin' again.

On the other hand, I would be almost as fired up for a Sammy and Ted tour as I was for this VH tour!!

I've had an opportunity to interview Ted Nugent on two occasions, and the guy is an absolute HOOT. Saw him do a radio interview at Wayne State several years back with a young freshman broadcasting major, and it was so hilarious...this young lady didn't know who he was, why he was in town or what he was about and he just basically commandeered the station for about 10-15 minutes and this chick had NO clue what to do.

I'm sure she probably changed her major to economics after that experience.

Now that would have been worth hearing!! Uncle Ted calls it like he sees it and doesn't mince his words.

No he doesn't...but he's got no problem making some tasty jerky out of Bambi. LOL
