| <Guest> | I guess the color of his skin determines how intelligent he is according to your dumb statement. |
| <Guest> | Who's the one that fought in a war? Oh yes that would be John Kerry.... Bush just sends kids to war...Big difference... |
World Champion![]() Location: Wayne, America Registered: October 20, 2002 Posts: 5714 | The "guests" on here I feel sorry for, but can certainly understand why they would want to show their lack of a sense of humor without leaving any evidence as to who they really are. For the record...historically throughout most of my adult life, I have been independent from a political standpoint. It goes back to when Bush senior told us "No New Taxes" and then signed one of the biggest tax hikes in recent memory. At the time I was Republican, but decided to go indy after that -- switching to Democrat was NOT an option because of Slick Willie, Ted Kennedy and some of the other globs of primordal goo on that side of the ledger. Has G.W. been perfect in his duties as the commander in chief? Certainly not...he could have done many things differently, particularly in the war on terror (or, if you want to get technical, World War III). But all things considered, don't you feel much better knowing it was he, and not schizoid Al Gore, that was President on Sept. 11, 2001? The Democratic party has been ruthless in its attacks on Bush, and it got burned when it ran with the now-legendary lies broadcast on the CBS evening news. What's hilarious is that, while Kerry and Edwards try and pin National Guard issues and other things irrelevant to what is happening today on Bush, they go nuts when Bush and Cheney point to Kerry's voting history in the Senate and his constant changing of opinions on the issues that the commander in chief will deal with today and in years to come. As for the skin color -- the news channels and the TV talk show hosts have been having a field day with Kerry's sudden change in skin tone. You can NOT tell me that a guy can get THAT tan in one hour. I can sit outside in the sun for twice as long and not get half as tan as he allegedly did in that amount of time. And as for who fought in a war and who didn't...call me crazy, but wasn't Vietnam fought two generations ago? And all questions about Kerry's tour of duty and subsequent potentially-treasonous acts aside...how does THAT make any difference in the issues of today? That's like saying I'm not capable of running a wrestling website or writing about the sport because I never wrestled in high school...it's a part of my history, but has little to do with what I'm doing today, tomorrow and years down the road. So, to make a long take a little longer...lighten up, Frances. "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |

World Champion![]() Location: Wayne, America Registered: October 20, 2002 Posts: 5714 | LOL...boy, it must be hard being anonymous AND bitter. I'll say this...if Democrats had a reputable, honest candidate with a backbone that could offer substance instead of this constant garbage being offered by the present candidate, I'd vote for him in a SECOND. Bush was most certainly the lesser of two evils when he ran against Woodenhead Al Gore in 2000, and as I said before, we can all be thankful that it was Bush that was in charge when our nation was attacked on 9/11. While I am finding myself leaning more toward the conservative side of things, I still take a look at the entire picture when I go to the polls. I don't vote all on for one political party...I vote for whoever I feel is the best individual for the job. As for "heading" to WW3 -- I've got news for ya', sunshine...WW3 kicked off right around 8 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001. When that first plane kissed the first of the World Trade Center towers, it was "game on" for the terrorists. "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |

That's another thing -- have you noticed that Laura Bush has had some face time on TV while Teresa Heinz Kerry has been practically nonexistent since the convention? Sure, the lady speaks her mind...but considering some of the things she's said and how she responds to critics, it looks more and more like the party is trying to keep her away from any and all forms of recording equipment, lest she tell somebody else to "shove it." Say what you will about the actual candidates, but if we had to choose based on the First Lady, Laura Bush wins in a landslide, in my opinion. Go blame the liberals for nominating a flat tire candidate that makes John F Kennedy look like Pat Robertson. |
![]() World Champion ![]() Registered: August 27, 2002 Posts: 6425 | The DNC has basically told Tereza to shut her mouth. Of course she gets the occasional "Stupid" or "Scumbag" remark in for those that don't agree with her or her French husband's policies. There's little doubt she's a liability when it comes to trying to get Ted Kennedy..err I mean John Kerry elected. |
World Champion![]() Location: Wayne, America Registered: October 20, 2002 Posts: 5714 | Hey...Pat Robertson isn't that bad, is he??? LOL What's funny about all this, from what I've seen, is this: When attacking their opponents, Democrats try to play every outrageous, worst-case scenario card they can think of (race, reinstitution of the draft, preventing people from voting, etc., etc.) and running with the lies perpetuated by the ethically-questionable journalistic practices of Michael Moore and Dan Rather. Republicans, meanwhile, have limited their attacks to Kerry's record and his continual flip-flopping on any and every subject under the sun. And before we go to the Vietnam card...let's just call this a wash because it doesn't mean crap in 2004 and beyond. Whether Kerry fudged his purple heart applications and Bush used his daddy's influence to hide out in the National Guard is of no consequence in the here and now. It almost makes me wish Ross Perot were still running...the needle on the unintentional comedy scale meter would be spinning like no other. This message has been edited.
