I have 2 questions,
1) How long will the fans wait? 1,2 or 3 years?
2) After that,(God forbid)if no change, who goes first Pederson or Callahan?

If all the recruits get in place, next year will be Callahan's chance to make a big run. A weak non-conference schedule, the Big 12 North will still be down, and while Oklahoma Texas Tech will still be on the schedule, so will Baylor. In 2006 we go to USC, and play Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State.

If Callahan has a good season, of course Peterson will try to take credit for it. And that's a shame, because he got lucky landing Callahan. I bet Wannstedt is wishing he'd have taken the NU job last year when he had the chance.

enough of the sauerkraut and braunschweiger! Huskers landed a juco LB yesterday that is 6'2" 225 and runs a 4.5 in the 40! Up to 17 recruits and things are looking up for next year!

slvHwk,

Bet you wish you were a real Hawk now don't you.
Big Ten, Hawkeyes rule. Will Stoops and company hang a hundy on you saturday, or will they feel pity on the huskers. Stoops and Long played college ball at what University! IOWA. I guess my theory about all great wrestlers now extends to the football ranks as well. All have connection some how to that great state to the east. Good Hunting this weekend. Go ADRIAN!

LOL -- But I'm 6-2 when I pull out my KISS Gene Simmons magical platform shoes. Kind of hard to sprint in those, however...

Shout it out loud....

Skyhawkeye,
I am.
By the way, this is the first year the Big 12 has ever been bad. The Big 10 usually takes that honor every season. The one year break is really getting to your head. Enjoy it now. It's over in about two months.

Let's see...Oklahoma has 1 NC (2000) and was a finalist last year...Nebraska as well (1997/2001), although they had to share with Michigan because of a bunch of lame-brained, biased sports writers.

Other than Michigan's split title, the ONLY Big 10 team to win a NC was Ohio State, who as we have come to find out, breaks NCAA rules with scholarship players like the rules don't even exist, which calls that title into question.

The LAST time a Big 10 team won an outright title was....1968. In the interim, Nebraska won 3 outright titles and shared a fourth with Texas, Oklahoma won 3 titles and even BYU and Clemson won a national title before a Big 10 team could win another one.

Tell you what, Skyhawkeye...when it comes to Big 10 vs. Big 12, stick to wrestling. Oh wait...Oklahoma State has more titles than Iowa, too...

Maybe you should go for the minor sports, like, say, basketball?

Big 10 blowhards...gotta love 'em.
