| Varsity Letterman Location: Stanton, NE Registered: December 18, 2002 Posts: 919 | Ok, here's the deal...a few years back, Marvel and DC comics got together and pitted certain heroes against each other for a battle of which world lives on and which one will die...here are some results that may surprise you and my reasoning why an unnamed hero would win. Superman vs The Hulk Stallion, here is you match-up, these two were paired to duke it out. After many huge blows and many a mountains destroyed....Superman was victorious, so you can eliminate The Mean Green Machine. Captain America vs Batman So, you have a super soldier vs the master of gadgets. This was a very tactical battle in which Batman was able to get the best of the Cap'n and become the victor (it was also the final bout and break the tie between DC and Marvel to see which world would survive). So don't exclude Batman from your bout sheets. Spiderman vs Superboy That's right, the ol webhead and the Boy Wonder went web to fist. Spiderman, being a super genius, knew he couldn't match him in strength and speed (even though he has spider sense and superhuman strength) beat him in a match of wits. That's right, Spiderman whooped on Superman's prodigy meaning, Spiderman is much more than capable of defeating Superman. With Spiderman being smart and having no weaknesses, like Kryptonite, he would eventually beat Superman. That's not the only reason Spiderman can beat Superman. As stated earlier, Superman was killed by Doomsday, who was rated #5 on the all time villains list by Wizard(kind of a comic news magazine). Not to bad of a resume to die to #5, however, Spiderman has defeated Victor VonDoom (aka Dr. Doom) many a times in his career and the list had Victor ranked as the #1 villain, trumps ol Superman's card. Also, noting back to The Hulk, Spiderman has brought down The Hulk a couple of times when he went out of control. This leaves Batman and Spiderman from the given list... Well, I'm not for sure these two ever squared-off in any battle, but they did team up once in a special comic put out by Marvel and DC. In the beginning, they battled a short time and they both came to the comclusion that it would more than likely end up in a draw...however...I would have to say that Batman's list for villains are a lot more difficult to defeat than Spiderman's (in my opinion). Spiderman: Venom, Magneto(Own's #7 spot on top 10 Villain Moments) , Kingpin, and Dr. Doom, Green Goblin (Own's #2) leading the Web-pack. Batman: Joker(Own's the #1, and #8), Bane(Own's #4), Two-Face, Ra's Al Ghul leading the Bat-pack. I am a bigger Spidey fan than a Dark Knight fan, so in my own bias opinion, I will say Spiderman. Other Characters that should be considered... Spawn: Created by Image comics, Spawn is just what his name states...a spawn...from the depths of hell and he wants revenge. My question, how do you kill what is already dead with unlimmited magic? That's what I thought, you don't. Professor Xavier: Marvel's most powerful mind controller. Unless you have a nifty little hat to help keep him out of your mind (Magento). The hoover-craft bound parapalegic will cripple your mind as if it were turkey stuffing. He is the leader and teacher of the X-Men. Storm: Master of the elements. What is the most powerful destruction known to Earth? Nature. She controls the elements and can hurt you from a great distance. Also, she defeated Wonder Woman in a battle in Marvel vs DC. She is a current member of the X-Men, one of Marvel's most elite superhero teams. Thor: The Norse god warrior. He also posses the power of the elements as Storm, however, he is trained for battle, has a magical hammer. Amazing. And MY CHOICE and my favorite comic character.... Silver Surfer: The all-powerful cosmic being that is indestructable and probably the fastest being in all the Galaxy, being able to "surf" to the outer edges of space within milliseconds traveling at light speed. Oh, did I mention he can manipulate matter. His number-one nemisis, a being large enough to swallow whole planets as an appetizer, Galactas. Also, voted as the #1 Superhero of all time according to Wizard magazine. He popped the Green Lantern like a zit in Marvel vs DC, not even a fight. Here is Wizard's top 10 list of superheroes...I think I still have the actually magazine back at home in storage. http://www.silver-surfer.us/Top10list/Top10List.htm This is a link to another Wizard Top 10...Top 10 Villain Moments: I have this one too somewhere(wish I could find them): http://comics.ign.com/articles/672/672586p1.html I can't locate the Top 10 villain list they put out, let me check this weekend at home to see if I can find that issue. Here is a forum that people have listed their top ten heroes and villains. http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f43/t312923.html Here is my top ten list (I am bias to Marvel) 1.Silver Surfer 2.Spawn 3.Thor 4.Spiderman 5.Superman 6.Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) 7.Batman 8.Storm 9.Wonder Woman 10.Professor Xavier You picked the wrong topic to talk about, got a bit carried away. Rookie![]() Location: Hastings Registered: November 09, 2005 Posts: 147 | Ok so yeah superman did get beat by doomsday but how do you know that dooms day wouldnt have beat spiderman or any other of them he was geared to fight superman what if he was geared to fight spiderman and besides what could spiderman do to beat superman hes much more advanced the superboy hence the man and boy endings. batman would never beat superman his gadgets wouldnt affect superman at all (unlees made out of kryptonite) but the fact of the matter is that they wouldnt know where to get kryptonite cause it is only found in the home town of clark kent Smallville kansas and they dont know that. so batman couldnt win. Honestly i dont think anybody could beat him cause he is basically unbeatable you cant punch him out or anything like that nothing you shoot at him will hurt him. And he has all the knowledge of Krypton with him because his dad Jor-el was the smartest scientest on krypton and his mother was the best astronaut on krypton so he is a genious too and his fortress of solitude is awesome lol. So superman wins. So many of our Dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then when we Summon the Will they seem inevitable!-- Christopher Reeves BrEtT |

| Varsity Letterman Location: Stanton, NE Registered: December 18, 2002 Posts: 919 | There's no way he beats the Surfer though...the Surfer is indestructable and is knowledgable of the whole Galaxy, so he would know that Superman was vuenrable to Kryptonite....but he wouldn't need it. The Surfer is the greatest being in the entire Galaxy. Also, remember that Peter Parker is a scientist and has studied alien materials (such as the alien embionite that made up Venom's suit). Just like Superman, Spiderman has super strength. If Spidey would get ahold of some Kryptonite (which Luther has some and if he knew Spiderman was battling Superman, he would gladly loan it to him) he could combine it with his web and Superman is finished. However, Spiderman did defeat Superboy without Superboy laying one hit on Spiderman. His Spider-sense would warn him of any impending danger, and with his superfast relflexes, he could dodge Superman's blows, just like he did Superboy's. Many people over look the fact that Spiderman has super strength and stamina and superfast reflexes. I will give Superman the nod over Batman, however, Batman knows Superman from their time together in JLA and knows Superman's weakness, so the master of gadgets and martial arts is not 100% out of the fight. He has his supercomputer in his Batcave with unlimited knowledge of people, who knows what he has on their about ol Supes. Joker is Number 2. In The Dark Book (and I have that too)...man I'm a nerd. It also has Wizards top 10 villians from what I was talking about earlier. Doomsday is #5 and Luther #2, and Dr. Doom #1. Rookie![]() Location: Hastings Registered: November 09, 2005 Posts: 147 | Is silver surfer made out of a metal alloy and if that is the case then Magneto would be able to destroy him no prob he would just bend him and destroy him. Yes i will give u the spiderman things but then again he has super fast reflexes against normal moving things what about superspeed people like superman? and besides if spiderman was goin to fight he wouldnt cheat by using kryptonite and then when he shot a web superman would melt it with his heat vision. So i guess this is just you having to look at what would happen i would say spiderman wins 50% of the time and superman wins 50% of the time but to the whole genious thing the kryptonian race was more advanced then the human race and supermans dad i bet was smarter the peter parker and if all things went bad superman would grab spidy and fly into space and spidy would die in the vacuum of space or he would take him underwater and he would die of drowning. But like i said it would be a 50/50 depending on on who got the first hit.
