Nielson lost to Brester.

There were a whole bunch of overtime matches all day long. Looks like things are getting tighter already.

Catholic and Creighton both had several guys out with illness or injury.

152 Scanton #1 seed did not place
160 Vinson #2 seed did not place.

Very good depth throughout the meet

Creighton wrestled without their 135# Todd, 189# Zephier, 215# Kimble, Hvy# Sage. Norfolk Catholic was without their 130# Morsett, 135# Ridder, Hvy# Ludemann. Would have been different story point wise if all of these guys wrestle. There were some crazy matches and some good kids did not medal! 119# Pudenz and Dennis was a great match and Kliment from Creighton beat Porn NC twice. Gubbels Randolph is dominant nobody gonna stop him. McManigal Creighton and Seger West Holt @ 140 wow! In OT McManigal gets takedown wins 3-1. Waldow Creighton in another thriller beats Konicek Howells in OT who had beat the number one seed Scranton and then Scranton does'nt place. Hasenpflug Creighton takes out Vinson Osmond in the semis and Vinson does'nt place. Hergott #1 seed @145 gets taken out by Wragge Plainview in the semis, Wragge gives up the championship match to Gansebom Osmond in the last seconds, Wragge is looking tough. Frahm looks to be on a mission, can't wait to see him and Dinslage this week at Clearwater. 171# Brester probably never wrestled more than a minute and a half total on the day! This kid is unbelievable, justs destroys people. 171 cons was a good one with Gall NC vs Nielsen Creighton, Nielsen looked very strong and dominated this rematch. Other than Hastings NC upsetting Bazata @189,Howells owned the upper classes. Just an Outstanding tournament and some great wrestling.

This invite had lots of implications towards seedings in districts, you could feel the tension in alot of these matches. Both C and D were well represented.

Man when Howells lines up for Championship Intro's they are tough from 171 and up, what a lineup. It's no wonder they win in football when you see these guys. Also little Brester looks pretty tough headed into districts.

Ludemann did not wrestle due to injury and the Seger/Lewis score was 7-5 OT. There were many great overtime matches on the day.
