Royce Alger (see bio below) would like to conduct a clinic at Creighton Prep on November 15 from 1000 AM-130 PM. Open to all wrestlers. Contact myself at engertodd@hotmail.com to get registered.



Royce Alger is in his third season at strength and conditioning coach for the University of Iowa wrestling team. Alger previously served in this position in 1997, and as Iowa's volunteer coach from 1994-96.

Alger is a two-time World Cup champion and silver medallist at the World Games. He has won three U.S. Open titles and is a two-time Pan American Champion. A member of the 1996 U.S. National Freestyle team, he placed third at the Olympic Trials that year.

A two-time national champion and three-time Big Ten champion at Iowa, Alger posted a career record of 131-12-3 (.910), wrestling from 1984-88. He was named Big Ten Wrestler of the Year in 1987 and 1988.

Alger earned his B.A. in exercise science from the University of Iowa in 1988.

The cost of the clinic is $30 per wrestler. All proceeds go to Royce.
