Here's the skinny on our second youth wrestling tournament at West Point Central Catholic:

The 2nd Annual Bluejay Trophy Tournament in West Point is open to wrestlers from preschool to eighth grade.
It will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Central Catholic Activities Center. More than 350 wrestlers took part in the tournament in its first year.
The tourney is set up in a round robin format and champions in each division receive trophies. All referees are supervised by officials who have been registered with the NSAA, and junior high matches are officiated by registered refs.

The deadline to enter for a reduced fee is Tuesday, Feb. 21.

A quick note: We ran a surprisingly smooth and on-time tournament in the first year considering the number of entrants. And we think we've smoothed out the few wrinkles there were. If anybody was at the tournament last year and would like to voice a concern/suggestion, please do so on this forum. We want to have the best tournament we possibly can.

One final thing is that we had some junior high kids wrestle at the Tekamah-Herman tournament in the morning and come to West Point (about 30 miles away) to wrestle later in the day. Some of you who'd like to cram some matches into a Saturday might want to consider doing that, too.
