Update on the 3rd Annual “Dawg-POUND Classic” varsity dual tourney in Crestview, Florida on December 17-18, 2004.

This tourney is shaping up to be AWESOME!

As of June 1, 2004 these teams have verbally (e-mail) committed to compete in the tourney:
From: Virginia: TC Williams H.S., Fauqier H.S.
West Virginia: East Fairmont H.S.
Pennsylvania: Mercersburg Academy
Wisconsin: Wrightstown H.S.
Georgia: Southland Academy & North Cobb H.S.
Kentucky: Wayne County H.S.
Florida: Crestview H.S., Niceville H.S., Choctawhatchee H.S.,
Lincoln H.S., Baker County H.S.

This is a 32 team dual tourney with every team getting 9 duals, team placement to 32, team awards for top 3, individual medals (for undefeated, one loss, and two loss wrestlers), concession stands and hospitality rooms in both schools (tourney will be held in Crestview High and Davidson Middle directly behind CHS).

Plans are being finalized for the Dollamur Mat Company to provide mats and electronic stand mounted scoreboards are being sought. Plans are being worked out to have live video feed run between schools for fans and teams to keep up on what’s happening at both sites.

Cost is only $100 per team and you CANNOT beat that price for the amount of wrestling and all before Christmas! Schools from a few other states have also expressed interest as well as many Florida schools. Don’t miss out! Be a part of the beginning of what may become (hopefully) one of the premiere tourneys in the country.

Two airports (Pensacola & Fort Walton Beach) are within 50 minutes of the school and local restaurants and hotels will be working with us.
