<a fan> | Which team won this last year, and what teams are going this year. This is always a tough tournament. |
<Big Red> | I believe Skutt won it, but Aurora should make it tighter this year. |

You have........ .Andy Christensen of Bennington, 4th-C HWT'02. .Caleb Tyler of Elkhorn, 6th-A HWT'03, 1st@BT'03. .Kendal Dorsey of Central, SQ-A HWT'03, 2nd@BT'03. .Wayland Latham of Skutt, 6th-B HWT'03, I believe Latham placed at BT'03. Should make for some great semi-finals matches. "It's in the bag coach, it's in the bag." |
<Guest> | Can i have some peoples opinions on who will win at each weight class. |
Novice Registered: November 09, 2003 Posts: 238 | I don't know much about the out of state teams, so if they have a stud I don't know about please correct me. 103-Toss up 112-McKim (Skutt) 119-Gaines (T-H) 125-Pulte (Gross) or Bribieseca (BT) 130-Svendson (Skutt) or Pokorny (Bennington) 135-Coolidge (Skutt 140-Prusha (Gross) 145-Wheaton (Skutt) 152-Olson (T-H) 160-Wofford (Aurora) 171-Peasinger (Elkhorn) 189-Huenefeld (Aurora) 215-Lutmer (Skutt) 275-Christensen (Bennington) I'm your boy!! |
<Interesting> | If this is even close to being correct, then it looks like Skutt will win it again. |
Moderator Location: Omaha,NE,USA Registered: October 19, 2002 Posts: 1116 | who's this Lutmer from Skutt? "It's in the bag coach, it's in the bag." |
<Guest> | Skutt could also have a champion at 160 in Farrell |
Novice Registered: November 09, 2003 Posts: 238 | Does anyone have information on who is tough from Underwood? They could have some champs too, but I did not factor them in because I do not know who how their team lines up. Any input? I'm your boy!! |
<observer> | Have you even seen Lutmer wrestle since he has been in high school. How do you even know he will wrestle 215, he wrestled 171 last year. |
Novice Registered: November 09, 2003 Posts: 238 | I heard that he was going to be tough this year, and didn't see many returners at 215. I went off of an earlier post that listed the skutt line-up and put him in as my pick. If they were wrong about his weight then I am also wrong. I'm your boy!! |
<observer> | you are also wrong about Wolford, his dad told me he is going 171, are sure Hunefield will be at 189. |
<mr. anonymous> | Lutmer is going 215 and he will be very tough. He's huge. |
Novice Registered: November 09, 2003 Posts: 238 | OK so now I would guess 160 - Farrell (Skutt) 171 - Close match I'm taking Wofford (Aurora) 189 - Still Huenfeld 215 - Still Lutmer (Skutt) I'm your boy!! |

<Guest> | Why is he not wrestling? |
Rookie Location: Tekamah,NE Registered: November 02, 2003 Posts: 9 | Zach has had a shoulder problem for the last couple of years. He actually dislocated it last year at the Boys Town tournamentand wrestled the rest of the year hurt. After the season last year, he had shoulder surgery. He played quarterback in football this year, and he got banged up pretty bad. He is looking forward to playing football in college next year, so he doesn't want to risk getting hurt again. |
Novice Registered: November 09, 2003 Posts: 238 | For my prediction at 152, after hearing the news about Olsen, I would venture to say that it is a toss up. My guess, depending on what weight they wrestle, is that it will be between Havekost of Bennington, Marti of Elkhorn, and Steele of Skutt. Any opinions? I'm your boy!! |
Novice Registered: November 09, 2003 Posts: 238 | Sorry, I just remembered about Jeremy McLaughlin of Valley. He is a very tough wreslter, but I can't remember if Valley goes to the Boys Town Invite or not. If I remember correctly, last year he seemed pretty strong, and at 140 could very possibly make the move up to 152. Maybe someone out there knows all the teams that plan to attend the tournament. I'm your boy!! |
