NAIA Ratings
NAIA has taken a huge hit losing Lindenwood, Notre Dame and McKendree. It is defiantly not very deep now.

Hope Midland stays healthy...it's always a factor in any sport. They have a legit shot at the top if things shake out right. Rankings didn't include Alex Bridgeford at 133 or 141 because he isn't eligible till 2nd semester. I feel that Clayton will go higher than 6th also and maybe even bring in a team mate with him into the all american rounds. Good luck men...time to get after it.

About 50% of the best NAIA wrestling schools migrated into Division II over a very short time in the late 80s or so. NAIA has never been the same, and Division II has been much tougher ever since.

I don't think DII is tougher than it use to be, or easier for that matter. I just think it is different faces at the top. Remember DII has lost perinatal powers NDSU, Portland State, UND, SDSU, and a few others that I have surely missed. I feel DII needed these schools to move up to keep its level of competitiveness.

DII was much tougher than the NAIA before the move of these schools. DII Wrestling is actually the fastest growing sport in the NCAA.
