The numbers have grown each year and the level of competition is fierce throughout. Its an opportunity to get a number of quality matches in and you can't beat the price. Coach Bauer, staff and team, run a great event every year. It doesn't hurt either that P.A. announcer is somewhat gullible and your day could be punctuated with a number of memorable gaffs going out over the soundsystem.

Entries are due tomorrow for this event!

Just back from UNK. You can still get entered, email works great. www.lopers.com has entry details and contact details. Every surrounding state and then some are represented, teams too.

15+u 115lb bracket
Pfeiffer of Amherst won it,
2nd Frank-Colorado
3rd Etherton-Lincoln
4th Cole-Colorado
5th Lunowski-Hastings
6th Shumaker-Louisville

Not sure what weight Ethertons brother was at but he won his bracket.

Matt Oliver-Auburn, also won his.

Curtis Larsen Plattsmouth, won 12+under 135 lb and was OW.

Don't have many so someone else will have to help with other results-sorry.

Results should be available here in a day or 2.

Word has it there were over 1200 entries in the tournament.

Theyre usually good about getting the results up within a short time.
It was a good tournament again and had a big turn out,as more learn of it-it grows every year.Saw a lot of good HS wrestlers back-those are always fun matches to watch. Was also fun to watch some 8th graders compete w/9th+10th graders-kinda gage how they will hold up next yr in HS.
Would like to see more in older brackets..I think a lot dont realize this tournament goes to 18+u-some at 19 can wrestle depending where your birthday falls, NE HS wrestlers that havent, should try it out next yr. Matches that don't happen during season can possibly match up here, and w/ 5-7 states represented all will also see different competition.

Had a great time this year. We have gone every year and have spread the word amongst the other Colorado clubs. We had quite a few Colorado teams represented. It has always been an enjoyable experience for us. The Nebraska teams always make us feel welcome and we are treated very well. Thanks to all, we will be back.

As for the lack of older kids that someone had brought up, the Rocky Mountain Regional FR/GR qualifier was held on that same day in Laramie Wyoming. I know that pulled a bunch of our club kids away from Kearney. I took my 2 younger sons to Kearney and sent my oldest to Laramie.

Talked to Coach Bauer tonight and he indicated that they had a few glitches in getting the results ready to post. Should be up soon.
