All I saw was his forehead on the mat the whole match,

he had one takedown but that was a freebe.

his opponet took him down fairly easy!

He might have got beat, but lets not forget who he was wrestling. I thought that he battled the whole match.

Looked like he had to work pretty hard to get the takedown he did get. I thought he wrestled about as tough as he could considering his opponent.

This was Meneely's fourth collegiate match. It was against a senior ranked 3rd in the country. It was also the first 7 minute match the Meneely has ever wrestled. I am not making any excuses, Roberson definitely outwrestled Meneely. Keep watching Cyclone fan. See how quickly Meneely closes the gap.

I agree completely, this is a freshman going agianist a nationally ranked 3rd wrestler, what do you expect? Meneely will come into his own, give him some time.

Kansas beats Nebraska in football every year.

And, my friend, you haven't SEEN God's country until you've driven in northcentral/northwestern Nebraska.

I've driven in Kansas...it makes Interstate 80 through Nebraska look mountainous.

I hate to break this to you, maybe your other Husker friends can remind you what Nebraska's record is against K-State the last four years, and the margin of victory.....
Also, let's keep this board to wrestling please, I know that you don't have a lot to go off of, but let's not compare apples to oranges...

Need I remind you (evidently I do) of the following historical records regarding NU vs. KU and KSU...

NU vs. KU -- Huskers lead series 86-21-3...40-2 in the D/O/S era.

NU vs. KSU -- Huskers lead series 72-14-2...37-5 in the D/O/S era. (NOTE: Average margin of victory in D/O/S era: KSU 17.6, NU 29.1.)

Meneely got beat by a quality wrestler but I think he will bounce back this Thursday night when IOWA wrestle UNI. It will be IPTV at 9PM. I thought it was awesome watching Meneely and the Paulson twins compete at that level.

I am not sure how much exposure you guys have had with Kansas high school wrestling but it is painfully obvious that Kansas high school wrestling is MUCH better than Nebraska high school wrestling. I hate to say it, since I was a Nebraska high school wrestler but its true.

Their is absolutely no doubt though, that Nebraska college wrestling is far superior to Kansas college wrestling.

I would put Nebraska wrestlers against Kansas wrestlers anyday of the week.
