Not counting the one they split with Nebraska back in 1970...two (1963, 1969). Texas' tradition doesn't hold a candle to the pre-Pederson Nebraska tradition. As long as SP is in the big chair, though, they got us licked faster than a lollipop at a Telly Savalas look-alike contest. "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |

Frank drove this program into the ground, not SP. Bill Byrne did nothing to improve our facilities and SP is. The bottom line is this, Frank Solich had many opportunities to get the job done and he didn't. Frank took over a cadillac of a program and left it a Pinto. I didn't see any major universities fighting for the right to have Frank become there next head coach. Thank you SP you are a godsend. |

With the exception of 1-2 years between 1969-2000, the Huskers were in the hunt just about EVERY year. As bad as the Big 12 North was last year, I can name 3-4 high school teams in Nebraska that would have made things interesting. The North Division sucked platypus eggs. <Guest> | WRONG BULLDOG. We didn't win because we were playing with BC's CLOWNS. |

Junior High Registered: December 06, 2002 Posts: 417 | Here it is Oklahoma - 13 Texas A&M - 10 Texas - 8 Oklahoma State - 2 Texas Tech - 2 Baylor - 1 Oklahoma and Texas must not recruit many 2* athletes because there isn't any on their lists. |

World Champion Location: Wayne, America Registered: October 20, 2002 Posts: 5714 | "...the only difference was we were actually good enuff to blow them out when they were down" Oh reeeeeeeally??? Let's look at the last five times Nebraska has been ranked higher than Texas and the final outcome (NR = Not Ranked): 1996: (NR) Texas 37, (3) Nebraska 27 (Big 12 Championship) 1998: (NR) Texas 20, (7) Nebraska 16 1999: (18) Texas 24, (3) Nebraska 20 1999: (3) Nebraska 22, (12) Texas 6 (Big 12 Championship) 2003: (16) Texas 31, (12) Nebraska 7 "And theyve never sat at home while we were in a national championship game..." And just for the record...when Nebraska went 13-0 and won the 1997 national championship...Texas was 4-7 and sat at home watching us win the national title. Wins: OU 22, NU 19 (OU also leads the all-time series, 41-37-3) Wins by a touchdown or less: NU 8, OU 8 Wins by 8-14 points: NU 5, OU 4 Wins by 15 or more points: OU 9, NU 7 And my sarcasm detector works just fine...it would seem your knowledge of recent Husker history is a little fuzzy, however. If you need to know anything more about Husker history, please don't hesitate to ask... "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |
