I will say this in looking back -- if we had 1983's offense and 1984's defense playing together both years, we'd have won back-to-back titles. Miami got in the back door and BYU should have NEVER been given the title because of the weak-sister schedule they played back in the days they dominated the Weak Athletic Conference (WAC). If USC beats Texas it will move ahead of the '95 Huskers as the greatest team of all time, provided A beats B, C beats D, and X ties Y and the lights go out before they complete the tie breaker. Does this mean that if Litchfield beats Lodgepole in the finals of the 6 man playoffs in 2008 that Nebraska will go back to being the greatest team ever? |
