Ace was tremendous, if not a little on the spacy side (he never has played with a full deck, if my memory of how he came into the band is correct). He and his band played like gangbusters and the crowd was into it from the first note to the final strains of the end solo from Black Diamond. Here was hit set list (albums songs came from in parenthesis): Rip It Out (Kiss solo album) Hard Times (Dynasty) Parasite (Hotter Than Hell) I Want You (Rock And Roll Over) -- short version segueing into... Rock Soldiers (Frehley's Comet debut album) Breakout (Frehley's Comet debut album) Into The Void (Psycho Circus) Strangeways (Hotter Than Hell) Torpedo Girl/Speedin' Back To My Baby/5 Card Stud (a strange medley combination, I thought) Trouble Walkin' (From his 3rd solo album) Stranger In A Strange Land (Frehley's Comet debut album) New York Grove (Kiss solo album) 2,000 Man (Dynasty) Shock Me (Love Gun) -- segued into a 5-minute solo, which was awesome as always Rocket Ride (Alive II) His encore set included... Deuce (First Kiss album) Lover Her All I Can (Dressed To Kill) Love Gun (Love Gun) Cold Gin (First Kiss album) And he ended with the end solo from Black Diamond "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |
