Got a phone call this morning from a younger gal who wanted to talk to the person responsible for Human Resources. She was obviously trying to sell something but asked if I would take a short survey. I agreed.

She asked what was the toughest thing facing Human Resources Professionals

Recruitment

Retention

Training

Something else.

I answered "Something else".

She then proceeded to ask if she could inquire what that something else was.

My reply...



Dealing with telemarketers!



She then said that was funny as she had just had another call that said the same thing.

I asked to be taken off of her list.

Yeah now I hear that there is a possiblity of your cell phone number ending up in a white pages type book. Just what we need.

That's why I registered our cell phone numbers with the do not call list also...

I don't know, but I might have been the first one to register my cell phone when they started that up last year. I entered mine right after the stroke of midnight...figured I wasn't going to take any chances.

Now if I can only find a way to get that do-not-call list to former psychopathic girlfriends, all would be well...
