Question:
Now that the Eagles have suspended T.O. indefinitely, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he will not be in Phillyl next year.

Therefore...there are 30 suckers out there (not including San Francisco) who will see this million-dollar talent -- with a five-cent head -- dangled as trade bait. Who will bite?

Choices:
Raiders
Jets
Cardinals
Nobody
Somebody in Canada, eh

Wistrom says he is glad he does not have a guy like TO on his team, and here is what some of the fall out for our LITTLE ANGEL is going to be, hit im the back pocket a bit and it still will not change this guys attitude.Financial fallout to hit Philly, Reebok headquartersBy Darren Rovell
ESPN.com

Fans used to chant "T.O. Must Go!" But with the wide receiver, for all intents and purposes, no longer associated with the Eagles, retailers are quickly taking up a new battle cry.

"Everything T.O. Must Go!"

Drew Hallowell/WireImage.com
If you're selling a Terrell Owens jersey, expect chump change in return.

Throughout the week, a glut of Terrell Owens jerseys started appearing on online auction site eBay. As of Monday afternoon, the fire sale was officially under way. More than 150 No. 81 Eagles jerseys are currently on the site, with minimum bids as low as $5.

The financial fallout of the Eagles suspending Owens -- for Sunday night's loss to the Redskins and three more games without pay; after that, the Eagles plan to deactivate him for the rest of the season -- will be felt in fan shops in Philadelphia as well as at Reebok headquarters in Canton, Mass.

Those retailers who had Owens jerseys on the racks are now forced to try to make some money back off outdated Owens gear. Officials with Reebok, which makes the replica and official jerseys, were not immediately available for comment, but one retailing insider told ESPN.com that the company won't be reeling from the receiver's situation because orders had slowed throughout the season when retailers got the sense that the public was growing tired of his antics.

When Ricky Williams suddenly retired before the 2004 NFL season, Reebok had already made thousands of his jerseys in every size and team color available. When stores canceled their orders, the jerseys piled up in Reebok's warehouses. Although Williams is back with Dolphins, his performance this year hasn't exactly encouraged the masses to consider buying his jersey again.

Owens' Eagles jersey was the third most popular jersey sold on NFLShop.com from April through August. But by Sept. 30, his jersey had slipped to 13th in the ratings.

"This guy had the city of Philadelphia wrapped around his finger," said Scott Rosner, a director of the Wharton Sports Business Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania. "The guy was a hero. Now he's the goat."

As the off-the-field battles between Owens and the Eagles organization intensified in recent months, Rosner said he noticed that fewer people were wearing No. 81 jerseys.

"Wearing a T.O. jersey around Philadelphia made you a bit of a target," Rosner said. "You had to know that if you were wearing it you would be opening yourself up to some verbal abuse."

So what will happen to all Terrell Owens Eagles gear?

An NFL spokesman said Monday night that it was unclear whether the league would discontinue the sale of Owens items as a result of his banishment from the team. As of 8 p.m. ET, the Eagles still had five Owens-related items in their online shop, including three different replica ladies jerseys, a bobblehead and a No. 81 mini helmet.

The merchandise glut could also hit Owens himself.

On his official Web site, http://www.terrellowens.com, Owens is selling a full-size Eagles autographed helmet for $749, a signed authentic Eagles jersey for $499 and an autographed Eagles football for $139.

Items that might be salvagable include T.O.'s honey-roasted peanuts and peanut brittle, both of which do not carry the Eagles logo.

And not only does T.O. not get it, check out this comment from his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who seems to think Owens isn't getting a fair shake from the media:

"There are players in the NFL that are arrested who violate the program when it comes to drugs and substance abuse and they are not punished as severely as him."

O.K., Moneybags -- here's the deal . . . when a player violates the drugs and substance abuse policy, for the most part, the only individual they are having a direct impact on is themselves. Granted, their absence for whatever period the policy imposes has an impact on his team, but by and large he is hurting only himself when he snorts, smokes or injects something.

What your beloved client has done with his mouth and his attitude has a much greater impact, not only on himself, but his team, his organization and his city. His impact is felt in not playing and the lost salary he (and you, to an extent) experience with his 4-game suspension.

The vile garbage he has expressed in the past few months has torn at the fabric of the team structure within the Eagles organization. He has put down his quarterback, his coach, his teammates and his organization with his numerous public statements, and now he expects "I'm sorry" is going to make it all better???

Rosenhaus could have saved his client by pulling him aside after the Eagles said no to his ridiculous renegotiation demands and said something like, "Listen, Terrell...let's be above board on this. Let's let our actions on the field and the statistics that come from those actions speak for themselves. Lead the team to the Vince Lombardi trophy, and we can come back and renogiate this deal next year."

Instead, his big mouth has not only cost him his job and reputation in Philadelphia, but has also made him damaged goods for whatever NFL franchise that might have an interest in what he brings to the table between the lines. It's obvious that the off-field baggage and overbearing ego that he has is more than people are willing to deal with anymore.

Word is that Dallas wants him as well.

Wouldn't that be a hoot - the two biggest jerks in the NFL playing for America's (Alleged) Team...which would give us just one more good reason to hate the Cowgirls.

Oh, and while we're on the subject...I don't want to jinx it yet, but there is a certain team in the state of Washington that carries a 3-game lead in its division (4 if you include the tie-breaker it clinched yesterday) and has the best record in the NFC with only two scary games left against the Giants and Colts.

Think your Broncos can get to the Motor City to get their heads handed to them by a certain former division foe??? Big Grin

Blue Thunder, Baby...rollin' to the top of the NFL charts in 2005.

Question worth repeating from a reporter at the T.O. news conference. "So Drew, what have you done for T.O., other then get him suspended." Question wasnt answered, needless to say. Think thats pretty funny and appropriate. LOL

Not only gotten him suspended, but seriously reduced his future financial windfalls (contract, endorsements, etc.).

If Drew Rosenhaus were my agent right now, I think I'd be looking for another agent.

Well, its been awfully hush-hush around here, but the great TO (whatever) has been talking to the powers that be in Bronco land. He visited the complex, talked with managment, and the players. The party line seems to be "anything that will help the team".

I just don't see it. Rod Smith, Al Wilson, Jake Plummer, etc. have all come out saying that he will not be a problem. How can he not be a problem? He has been a problem everywhere he has been. Oh sure there will be a "honeymoon period" where ever he lands. He will be the model teammate just long enough to make people forget about the debacle he was in Philly, San Fran, etc. Then look out.

I for one will not support the team if TO ends up here. I know quite a few other people that feel the same way. Is there room left on the Chief's bandwagon?

Tons of talent, tons of money, pennies worth of brains. I dont care where he goes, he already ruined my niners( I know they were on a downhill slide anyway, but T.O. is such a good scapegoat) The only thing worse than him moving on to another team would be him moving on to tvland. Could you imagine this guy and John Madden together on the boobtube.
