Television has lost a legend. Today's late-night shows are a far cry from Carson's days on The Tonight Show...he most certainly set a standard that will never be matched.

Johnny Carson had no match when it came to true late night TV. Letterman and Leno could not hold his jockstrap.

NBC's late-night offering is nowhere near its glory days with Carson/Letterman/Snyder.

Leno tries too hard to be funny and falls short about half the time.

Conehead O'Brien is not funny at ALL. How he has survived as long as he had is a testament either to his perseverance or NBC's utter stupidity.

Carson Daly is a good interviewer when he isn't trying to be funny.
