This guy can put together a game plan, but is terrible with selecting a defensive coordinator and motivating his team to play for him! The fact that he can recruit and run a great offense makes him a powerful coach at Nebraska! I would not be surprised to see Uncle Tom step back in at the top and coordinate the comeback of the Husker Teams of past glory with Billy calling the plays! |

Any reassignment would require a firing and then re-hiring which would cost a whole bunch of cash, which by internet rumor will be taken care of by big boosters in Dallas. |

Looks like the assistants are staying on until a new coach is hired, which means they'll probably get paid until they are either let go or find other work. Osborne said he has talked to nobody about the position yet, so obviously all the speculation and rumors about people being flown in, contacted by Osborne, etc., are full of crap (as they are 99.9 percent of the time). And so an ugly era in Nebraska football history is, mercifully, over. This message has been edited. Last edited by: NWI, "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes" -- James Arthur Ray |
