I don't think Nate Novotny from Gross will be at 103 this year; I believe he will be at 112. I believe the 103 pound spot for Gross is between Jamie Trout and Dan Pedersen.

I didn't think it was known that Clayden McKim was going to be the 103 pounter for Skutt. I thought there was another wrestler (Stephenson?) that he had to wrestle-off against.

I don't think mckim is at the legal minimum to even wrestle in high school. the kid weighs like 75 pounds! Also, Juricek and deao graduated. quinlon isn't out for wrestling.

sorry voice of reason, but i think your predictions are very one sided, u have 12 scutt wrestlers placing. i think that scutt is the best class B team out there, but the B2 district has to be one of the toughest districts in the history of nebraska wrestling. To have 12 wrestlers go to state in that district is nearly impossible. 7 sure, 8 maybe, but more then 8 would be an amazing feet. also you have reinke 3rd behind nordstrom. Nordstrom may be a good wrestler, but reinke will not lose very many matches this year, and will get 2nd. Maybe I am wrong with all of this, but it seems very hard for a team to get 12 wrestlers to state in such hard district

103- Dusty Weirich (state qualifier)
112/119 - Freshmen TBD
125- Probably see Matt Lunzman move down from 130 to make room for Nick Hartnett, freshman brother of Zach Hartnett, who will be 135
140/145 - Newcomers TBD
152- Dan Hospodka (injured last year, finalist in 2002)
160- Michael Krajicek (will move from 171)
171- Joe Janovich (looks very solid right now)
189- Jake Benes (state qualifier)
215- Aaron Bierman eventually - played football around 250-260 and is about 10 shy the last I heard. Have a good backup there in Matt Hamtak and also a kid, Josh Larsen, who is a little banged up right now.
275- Shawn Avery (state qualifier)

And I will agree with you, Viking...B-2 is going to be a total BEE-YOTCH of a district. You've got Skutt, Gross, Gretna, Platteview, Elkhorn and a little secret known as Boys Town all in that district, along with some fine individual talent outside those mentioned schools.

This is going to be as tough as a district has EVER been, regardless of class, and anybody who gets more than 6-7 in should not complain one iota about it. Some great kids are going to be left home...but those that do survive here, history tells us, will do very well the following week at state.

Last year, this district had #1, #4 and #5 at the end. The potential is there that this district could go 1-2-3-4-5 (Skutt, Gretna, Platteview, Elkhorn, Gross would be my semi-educated guess 3 1/2 months before it really matters)...although there are some teams in the other three districts (Plattsmouth, Aurora and others) that might have something to say about that.

Based on your choices at 171, that ought to be an interesting little donnybrook with Dolezal, Janovich, Schuett and Peasinger. Three of those four will battle at EMC and in duals, and Schuett is one tough hombre. By February, if that's your final four that should be a dandy.
