On Saturday is it just a straight 8 man tourny? Also how do you do team scores with this format. I have never seen anything like this before.

It will be a regular 8 man bracket on Saturday with regular team points.
On Friday in the pool brackets, the only team points that will be awarded are Bonus points: 2 for Fall, 1 1/2 for Tech Fall, and 1 for Major Decision.

Wrestlers are placed into the 8 man bracket based on their initial seed and how they do in their pool.

Great Idea! This is a new format to me also, maybe its been tried and used elsewhere but leave it to Norm to try something different. Love it!

One last question which is first previous seed or how you did in the pool.

Ok so a #3 seeded kid beats the #2 seeded kid in the pool Does the #3 kid get the #2 seed in the 8 man bracket? This is what I would assume.

I really like this format also as I think it gives the kids more matches and possible rematches in the tournament. It should make the tournament interesting.
