How many high school coaches have sons or daughters on their team this year?
I'm sure there are many more but off the top of my head I think of:
Plattsmouth: Brett Shuler and son, Brock
Millard South: Doug Denson and son, Morgan
Adams Central: Dan Lonowski and son, Nick
Omaha Central: Johnny Galloway and sons, Tyrell and Skylar
GI Northwest: Jeff Paige and son, Ben
Sargent-Burwell: Craig Mauler and son, Brett

Who else?

Southern Valley- Rudy Glur and daughter Molly.
Ainsworth: Phil Hoyt and son Caleb
Grand Island Central Catholic: Marc Starotska and sons Zachary and Jeremiah.

Bobbie Walters was the girl that wrestled last year but decided to go out for B-Ball this year. She still keeps looking to the ref to give her 2 points every time she umps some one on the floor.

JUST RELEASED BY NSAA

This year at the state tournament we will not allow picture taking during the medal presentations. Instead, there will be a match between Red Rocker and 4Huskers. Each will stand on the mat with his laptop which will be connected to the overhead scoreboard. As each state champion is awarded his medal he will call out the name of some object. RR & 4H will hustle into their picture files and flash it up on the scoreboard. First one up scores a point. Early Las Vegas line has RR favored by 4.5 but 4H has a lot of time to practice.

Yes, Trey and Teran are on the team, but you forgot the one in charge. My wife Christi might as well be on the team. She does much more than anyone else for our team. I think I need to step aside and let her be the one cracking the whip. Many of the boys would beg to have me back.

Minden Head coach Jim Anderson and son Clay. I think Clay was unbeaten as a Fresh. before breaking his back. A Jr. now and unable to wrestle anymore I understand he will be having another major back surgery soon. We all wish him and his family the best.

A rare father son combination...Rod Tickle coaches at Hastings High school while son Joe wrestles at Hastings St. Cecilia.

Hey! Coach Andersen here. I read the above post and had to get signed up so I could reply. Didnt know anyone actually remembered Clay. However some clarification. In his very brief HS career he lost the last match he wrestled in OT. We didnt know it but his back was broken at that time. He is having surgery again on 12-19. On a brighter note our numbers are up in Minden, attitudes are great, kids are working hard, and quality is improving! Cant wait for the season to start!

Kinnan Twins from Cozad and Old CHS Coach Lane Kinnan. Elm Creek had a father son combo too I thought.
