Agreed. There were some great semi matches. Really liked how they had it on split screen so you could watch whichever match you wanted (or both).

And to think I passed up a chance to go ...

According to Intermat:

1st time all-americans for UC Davis (D. Moore, 141# finalist) and Sacred Heart (P. Zarrinpour, 285# 7th/8th).

1st ever finalist for American (J. Glen, 197# finalist).

Also interesting: Zarrinpour is a Moslem (originally from Iran) wrestling under a Jewish coach for a Christian university. As they said on the Intermat broadcast, "Only in America." And to finsih off a great story, now he is "all-american".

How many AA have wrestled for Massey. I know he has to be happy with the kids from this year.

Brester lost to Glenn - who is in the finals and Bergmen - who is going for 3rd. Not bad.

Burroughs lost to the #1 seed 3-2 and lost to the #2 seed in 4 overtimes. Not too shabby.

These two will have 3 more solid years at NU.

Donahoe is only a soph.

Oliver has 2 yrs left. Dwyer 3 yrs left.

Add in Browne at 174 and Jones at 184 with May at Hwt, who may have A.A. this season but for an injury, and NU will be solid next year.

125 - Donahoe/Vacanti
133 - Donahoe/Vacanti
141 - Rowe
149 - Burroughs
157 - Oliver
165 - Dwyer
174 - Browne
184 - Jones
197 - Brester
HWT - May
