| Novice Registered: September 01, 2005 Posts: 268 | posted Creekwood Chiropractic is working with Coach Henry Aschoff and Lutheran High to put on a wrestling clinic the first weekend in August (5th and 6th). We will be doing two sessions for grades K-6th on Friday the 5th, and two sessions for 7th through 12th on Saturday the 6th. Cost will be $50 per wrestler. Clinicians will be: Tervel Dlagnev, who is the current US open champion and ranked 2nd on the olympic ladder according to themat.com (pre US Open). Tervel is also a 2009 World Team Member, placed third at the World Championships, University World Champion, and 2x NCAA DII Champion, and most winning wrestler in UNK history. JD Bergman, Who is currently ranked 1st on the olympic ladder according to themat.com (did not paticiapate at the US Open this year, was injured), 2x world team member, US Open Champion, and NCAA national runner-up at Ohio St. Both these individuals have a great shot at making the Olympic team. We've been working on this for the last few weeks, but finally have the US world teams schedule, and can finalize a date. I will be getting waivers out soon, but want to start getting this out so that people can get this clinic in their summer plans. | Novice Registered: September 01, 2005 Posts: 268 | posted It is exciting to line something like this up and bring some elite world class talent to the area for those interested, but also to help raise some money for a couple of olympic hopefuls. I am also looking for buisiness sponsors to help defrey costs like gym rental, shirts, etc.... so that it is as profitable as possible for the clinicians. International Wrestling for US athletes is not very lucrative, hence the mass exodus of many capable athletes to MMA.
