Had a coach ask if we were going to charge coaches if they wanted to attend and observe. Answer is no.

Coaches are welcome if they would like to attend as well. Just observe NSAA summer decorum

For those planning on attending...

the flyers said to bring your own lunches, but recently Todd Uhlir of Norfolk Burger King (Burger Boys) and CouponChopper.com has pledged to donate lunch to participants. He really does a lot for the community of Norfolk, so if you are in the area and have a chance to thank him or give them bussiness, please do.

Both clinicians for this clinic wresteled this weekend at the world team trials. coming off an injury, JD Bergman clearly wasn't ready to wrestle, but still has won three straight matches over Jake Varner...Who looks good for a world medal.

Trevel got a bye to the finals (since he won US Open), where he wrestled Steve Mocco (NCAA DI national champ at Iowa and Oklahoma State). It is a best two out of three matches. In Frestyle a match is won by either a pin, or whoever wins two out of three periods.

Trevel lost the first match 0-1,1-0, 0-1, then he came back and won the next four periods to win a spot on the us team.

July first is the deadline to get the discounted entry fee. So get those in.

I just want to let you know that I believe Tervel is a wrestling genius and has an unbelievable thirst for wrestling knowledge. Not only does Tervel know how to wrestle as a heavyweight or how to wrestle his style, he has a great understanding of every other top competitors style, strategy, and tactics. Tervel does things as a 265 lb man that many of the top light weights and middle weight s can’t do. So any time that you can spend learning about wrestling from Tervel, is time well spent. He also loves people and loves to share what he knows, he actually thrives on it. I have also had the privilege to get to know J.D. Bergmann in the last year or so and I have a great deal of respect for him. Both Tervel and J.D. are humble men who are passionate about wrestling and more importantly passionate about loving and serving people. I know Aaron has worked hard to put this clinic together, if you have a chance to make it I would recommend it.

2x NCAA All-American Riley Ross is planning on being available for one or both days, as well as 2x All-American Keenan McCurdy, and 3x All-American Reff Rutledge. These guys will not be showing any technique, but will be available to assist with making sure camp participants are properly executing the techniques taught. The two camp clinicians along with these guys, and a few other previous college wrestlers will all help make sure all participants get plenty of quality attention.

Camp is in 9 to 10 days, at Lutheran High Northeast

Tervel just earned the bronze medal in Poland defeating a former world champion.

Dlagnev turned in a strong tournament by placing third in the Ziolkowski International. He beat a two-time World champion and a two-time World bronze medalist. The Ziolkowski event was held simultaneously with the Poland Open on Sunday.
