Rosie Koch, wife of Lee Koch, passed away early this morning.

Lee is a fixture in the wrestling community in the state and he and his wife are huge supporters of the sport in Winside. Lee has been a regular NWI contributor from the beginning and has also written for newspapers in Norfolk and Wayne over the years.

Rosie had been sick for some time and recently was moved to a nursing home in Madison where she passed away. She was one of the great wrestling moms over the years and she will be dearly missed by those of us who knew the family.

Funeral is tentatively set for Monday at 10:30 at the Wayne United Methodist Church. I'll try and confirm that and post it here.

Thoughts and Prayers to the Koch family and the Winside community.

Ever hear of the coach that couldn't coach his wrestler out of a wet paper bag; I was coaching the wet paper bag.
