I really wanna see GI be competitive with AV. However, I'm afraid they're going to get skunked.

This is Coach Schadwinkel, what an experience this has been! This tournament is the real deal. The people are great to work with, the teams and coaches are great, the facility is very adequate, not as nice as the Heartland Events Center, but nice Smile We had great duals with Baylor, TN and Vacaville, CA. Vacaville is a nice team we just happened to match up well with them their 119 and 215 were both tough kids, just happened to match up with Riedy and Westerby so we shut down two of their big point scorers.
Apple Valley was scary tough. Our kids fought hard and represented our state with pride, they are just in a different league. I told the kids they are a magnet school for wrestling and we represent the whole little city of 45,000 they represent the twin cities metro area plus kids from Iowa, Wisconsin and any others who chose to matriculate there for wrestling, I mean school. All jokes aside, they are well coached and a very solid team. Good athletes at every weight class and solid competitors. Very classy group, and very tough. Tomorrow we will wrestle three more duals for placing 5-8. Im very proud of our team and their performance. I am honored to represent our community, school, and Nebraska. Thanks to all who are following us! Try to post again tomorrow or when we get back to Nebraska!

I was able to watch Grand Islands second dual from this website, http://www.mnsportsnetwork.com/ they are archived if anyone is interested in watching. Also I could hear match announcements in the background of GI matches from the other two duals. Good luck tomorrow and a safe return home.

Thanks Coach Shad for your posting and taking the time to keep all us Nebraska and GISH Wrestling fans informed. We know you are a very busy man. Tell the kids to just wrestle their match and be positive no matter what the outcome they are all winners for just going there and competing. Have a safe return, the roads should be better coming back and not so scary. The Aken's
