Rookie Registered: December 07, 2005 Posts: 130 | Some of you may know Jason Smutz, he is the head wrestling coach of the Scribner-Snyder Youth Wrestling Program. Jason's daughter, Madison, is a 5th grader at Scribner-Snyder Community Schools and was diagnosed with Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma, which is a rare form of bone cancer. Madison is currently going through chemotherapy that could last any where from 8 to 12 months, and expenses are starting to mount for her family. There will be two benefits to help raise money for Madison. Saturday, November 6, 2010 Mohr Auditorium Scribner, NE 3:00pm-9:00pm Live and Silent Auction, a meal and the Nebraska vs Iowa State football game. There will also be fun activities for the kids. It is a spaghetti feed and silent auction of merchandise donated from area businesses. The silent auction will end at 3:30pm. Plates will be $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for children. Rookie Registered: December 07, 2005 Posts: 130 | Just an update on the benefit in Fremont. Madison Smutz Benefit FYI (11/21/10 NOON TO 4PM) PLEASE FORWARD ON TO GET THE WORD OUT!! THANKS! UPDATE, due to the outpouring of support of the community and businesses and the number of donations received we have decided we need a bigger space to make Madison's event a success. Please note the benefit time and day is the same the only change is the location. We will now be holding the benefit at Fremont's City Auditorium (9th and Broad st) instead of Izaak Walton to accommodate the donations and guests attending. This will be listed in the papers and the radio also. There will also be signs up the day of the event Thank You, Angie |
